I was lucky enough to get all games I applied for but a few mates wasnt. Anyone know if you already have tickets for a certain game can you still buy another on the uefa resale window?

Hi, no you wont be able to apply for any more tickets for a game you already have unfortunately. You can also only apply for a maximum of 7 tickets as well, which is ridiculous, meaning if you've got all England games through to the final, you're not able to go and watch any other team matches- not to mention you may only end up seeing 3,4,5 or 6 if England go out early!

If you already have a ticket for a particular match then you can't buy another for the same match. But your mates could buy those tickets on their own behalf.

When you bought your tickets, your confirmation email from UEFA will have included a "Group ID" number. Give that to your mates. If they put it on their ticket applications then you should be sat together, provided you got the same ticket category.

You can't buy more than 7 tickets to England matches per person but you can add any number of tickets to non-England matches so long as they are not on the same day as an England match.

If you have an England ticket to a knock out match then you can't buy a non-England ticket for that round. The reason is that England might qualify for that match leaving you with 2 tickets to the same match.

Can you buy tickets in this window if unsuccessful? Or is it a swap site where you have to have tickets to trade?

Sorry, I've not explained the 7 ticket rule very well. If England go all the way to the final, we will play 7 matches. You are allowed to buy one ticket for yourself for any or all of these matches, so you could have a maximum of 7 England tickets in total. In addition, you can buy yourself one ticket for any non-England match provided that you do not end up with tickets to 2 matches on the same day. Effectively, the grand total of your ticket portfolio could be whatever your finances and travel arrangements will allow. If you buy a non-England ticket you do not have to release an England ticket to keep within a ticket limit.

In addition to one ticket for yourself, you can buy tickets for up to 3 guests for any or all of the games you are going to. At some stage in the process, you will have to name these guests and provide their personal details.

As for when you can buy more tickets, there will be tickets available in February because
    a) some matches didn't sell out, and
    b) some fans decided not to pay for the tickets they were allocated.
UEFA will want to sell all of these tickets but how they do this remains to be seen. After last summer's general public sale, unsold tickets were offered to applicants who had originally been unsuccessful in the ballots through the 'Fans First' programme. It's not clear whether something similar will happen in February.

At some point between now and June, UEFA will open up their general public sale portal and any unsold tickets will appear. There may also be 'returns' from corporate sponsors or the 'football family'. These tickets will not be subject to any ballot process. It will be real-time sales on a first come, first served basis.

In March, a UEFA ticket resales platform will be opened. People who bought tickets in last summer's sale can submit them for resale if they no longer want those tickets. Again, it's first come first served. Based on what happened at Euro 2016, the resales platform might only be open for a few weeks. Then again, maybe longer.

Finally, the FA team are always looking for situations where they can request more tickets from UEFA for England fans.

Is that if you have a follow my team England ticket? , we won't know where we are playing in the knockouts until after the group games.

Just to add to David's post, on the Uefa ticket resale platform, you will not be able to sell or buy tickets that were allocated to the England Travel Club. Only tickets bought in the Uefa general sales can be sold or bought.

    In reply to Matthew Heywood:

I don't actually know whether future ticket sales will include 'Follow My Team' England tickets. But, if so, putting the Group ID on the application will work for them just the same as for group matches even though we won't know which venue we're playing the knock out match in until a few days before it kicks off. Presumably, UEFA will use a computer to allocate the seats.
