EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Accepting other price categories

Am I right that if you tick the box to accept tickets in another catergory it applies to ALL matches and all members on your application form so you can't pick and choose which specific matches you are happy to accept in a different catergory ticket?  Since the updated ticket application advice from the FA seems to suggest on certain matches you should tick to accept different categories based on your caps level; however on the UEFA ticket portal I can only find an option which seems to apply to ALL matches rather than for each individual fixture?

Many thanks for any clarification/help!

    Yep.

One tick box for all matches to accept a ticket category either side of your first choice for all members in your group.

    See the FAQ.

Matthew, am I correct in thinking that when we receive the results of our application we then choose whether were happy with the upgrade etc... is this collectively or individual games?

For example, pay the additional amount in R16 but decline the offer for the SF.

    In reply to Dane Hunter:

    Nope.

When you get the results of the full application.(in January) you either accept the lot (by paying) or you reject the lot (by not paying).

    Again see the FAQ

This is where only applying for what you can afford is important. I know that if I'm successful for all I've applied for I can afford it. Wouldn't want to sacrifice my full application just because I couldn't afford one part of it.

    Another question.

For the semi and final I should easily get into FF/Cat 3.

If I apply for FF and I am willing to upgrade, do I get priority in Cat 3 over someone who has put that as their first choice on less caps?

I assume so, but that's the one thing worrying me.

    In reply to Craig Jeffs:

    The answer is yes

Caps get priority over any cat members have selected as their first choice.

So in your case you would get priority on the cat 3 ticket even though someone on less caps had applied for cat 3 as their first choice.

    Good luck.

Excellent point and one the FA mentioned in their FAQs. You should add up all the highest ticket prices you could get and then realise if you could afford it.

An interesting question here which i suspect we will never truthfully know the answer too. If someone on say 14 caps and applied for a category and chose not to be upgraded, and someone on say 16 caps applied for the same category and accepted to be upgraded, would the FA make it so the 14 capper missed out completely, or would they try and make it so as many members as possible recieved a ticket?

If on 14 caps you chose not to be flexible then i wish them the best of luck be flexible on the games you can afford why ruin you application to try get cat 3 for every game then miss out just because they wouldnt budge, personally i havent applied for the final as ivwould end up with cat 1 or cat 2 and not willing to pay them prices so i havent applied noing that i wont over stretch myself and ruin the whole application

Carl why would you only get cat 1 or 2 for the final or semi, 16 caps is the same as me, there is 7140 tickets in cat 3 and fans first and only 6000 on 16 caps and above. I’ve gone for fans first which I will probably miss out on but having ticked the box to accept a different category should be ok for cat 3.

    In reply to Paddy Buckley:

Correct - anyone on 14 or above caps at present would be guaranteed FF or Cat3 for the final and Semi Final. As some fans on higher caps may have tickets via Uefa or applied for Cat 1 or 2 it could even go to lower caps members.

Can I just confirm I’ve read this right then... will 14 caps be enough to ensure a FF/Cat 3 ticket?

I’m on 14 caps and have ticked Cat 3 with a willingness to go up to Cat 2 if need be as I thought I’d just miss out on Cat 3 but would be much happier switching to FF/Cat 3 and being bumped up to the Cat 3 if I can get away with that

Mathew isle as a table with people on the same caps as you and above . Just work it out off there luke hopefully using the logic behind that you’ll be able to work out what category to go for I’ve been torn like probably a lot of people on what to do mainly for the semi & final so that’s what I’m doing trying not too pick a category too pricey is my issue but not wanting to miss out either
