England v Belgium: tickets available

Posted by Team England at 12:56 on Thursday 08 March 2018

We are pleased to confirm that we have been able to secure an additional allocation of tickets to England v Belgium at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

Update 12/03/2018: Following on from the email we sent on Thursday 8 March, we are pleased to confirm that the additional allocation of tickets to England v Belgium can now be offered to members on 34 caps and above. If you are a Travel Club member on 34+ active caps without a ticket to the match, please call 0800 389 1966 by 3pm Tuesday 13 March to pay.

08/03/2018: The small allocation of tickets is available to any existing Travel Club members on 40 active caps and above who do not already have a ticket for this match through the ESTC allocation or via FIFA's general public sales.

To purchase a ticket, please call 0800 389 1966 by 3pm Friday 9 March. When calling you must have your Travel Club fan number to hand.

The tickets available are:

Category 1 priced at £162

Category 2 priced at £127

Please note that we will be checking with FIFA to ensure that supporters do not have more than one ticket for this match; if you do already have a ticket for this match then you risk all tickets for the tournament being cancelled.

Due to the limited allocation we will not be offering tickets at this present time to members on less than 40 caps so please do not call. If we are able to offer further tickets to members on lower caps, the website will be updated accordingly within the next week.

Once purchased, tickets are non-transferable (to other members or non-members) and are non-refundable. For more information, please refer to FIFA's ticketing terms and conditions here:

https://resources.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/ticketing/02/90/39/53/2018fwc_gtcs_en-generaltermsandconditionsfortheuseoftickets_neutral.pdf

If you wish to purchase a ticket for the Tunisia or Panama games, please email your details to englandsupportersclub@thefa.com and we will get back to you.

I normally stick up for the FA but im peed off with this Cap cut off of 40+......im on 25 and understood when i saw the original email after sale saying who had been allocated tickets. But when you see that people with no Caps have got tickets and people that are only going for this match, it really grinds me that im out there for the whole tournament and i dont have a chance in this extra sale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul, is it not right that fans who have attended the most games in the build up to the World Cup and missed out in the initial ballot are reward for their loyalty? The fact that a small percentage of people on lower caps have managed to obtain tickets is down to the T&C's of the membership. I think it is fair that a percentage of people on low caps are given the chance to get tickets otherwise how are people expected to attend games and work up the caps table. I'm sure most members have benefited from this process at some point.

The fact FIFA have only given us a small allocation doesn't help but I don't think there is much else the FA can do.

Paul - nobody on 0 caps would have obtained a ticket for this game through the official England sale as it was oversubscribed. they have more than likely got lucky in the FIFA sale

Well done FA, I am often quick to point out the shortcomings from the FA but credit where credit is due.

Paul, I think it is fair that members on 40+ caps have been assigned the first option on these tickets, otherwise it makes a mockery of the caps system. I for one would certainly not bother with any many home matches if it wasn't for cap building.

Chris Amber Jason i accept people on the higher CAPS should take priority in the first sale. I think the sale should have been more of a percentage that go straight to higher CAPs.

But its a shame you cant see that its unfair that someone who went to all build up matches & friendlies except for 1 due to illness, and is out there for the whole tournament allowing for us getting to the final (optimistic i know) isnt getting a chance in this sale.

Everyone will have an opinion for themselves but that is just how i feel

Again - credit to the FA making loyalty pay and sourcing more tickets.

    What's not to like.

Don't see how limiting sales in the first instance to those over 40 caps is unfair - by my reckoning that would be attending every game back to the end of 2015. Seems pretty reasonable to me  (and by my count, you've missed 3 games this campaign, not 1).

And I'm not sure how the FA would know someone is planning to be in Russia for the whole tournament....

Paul...if they gave all tickets to top cappers, you would of still missed out on 25 caps...so you would of missed out in your own suggestion?

Guessing this means any tickets unsold by 3pm today will then be offered to lower cap members next week or the week after? I live in hope..... ;)

People saying that members with 0 caps can’t of got tickets, trust me they have as one of my mates got one and he has 0 caps

Also Paul doesn’t seem to be disagreeing with the fact high cappers get priority, he’s just annoyed the same as me that people with zero caps have got tickets. I’m only on 18 and applied and didn’t succeed which is fair enough but one of my other mates also missed out and he’s on 38 caps then our other mate got a ticket on zero caps doesn’t teally seem fair does it when he’s been to one england away game and was in the home end as he didn’t have a membership then

as many of the higher cappers missed out because they applied wrong it is equally fair to say that 0 cappers may have also applied wrong - giving them a chance at getting tickets. The terms and conditions of a ballot are quite clear that if oversubscribed then 0 caps won't be entered.

70% seems like a pretty reasonable number to be allocated to high cappers. I actually think the system is one of the fairest as it allows everyone to have a chance and build up points - rather than closing shop and only to those that are high caps.

And I've been the majority of games for the last 4 years - I was in the same boat as lower cappers prior to the euros. Did I complain when I wasn't allocated a ticket, no, did I get a ticket for every game I wanted...in the end yes I did because I used the first come portal etc

I would be interested to see if someone is brave enough to prove they got a ticket through the FA with no caps. Until this happens the debate will rumble on...

Amber, I'm currently in the same position you were in a couple of years ago. I'm only on 14 caps so don't expect a ticket for every game, the fact I get a fair crack at getting a ticket is enough for me. Building up caps isn't a difficult concept to understand (depsite people continually criticising the system) and I'm confident in a couple of years I'll be at a caps level that would see me above the threshold for a majority of matches.
