England v Belgium: tickets available

Posted by Team England at 12:56 on Thursday 08 March 2018

We are pleased to confirm that we have been able to secure an additional allocation of tickets to England v Belgium at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

Update 12/03/2018: Following on from the email we sent on Thursday 8 March, we are pleased to confirm that the additional allocation of tickets to England v Belgium can now be offered to members on 34 caps and above. If you are a Travel Club member on 34+ active caps without a ticket to the match, please call 0800 389 1966 by 3pm Tuesday 13 March to pay.

08/03/2018: The small allocation of tickets is available to any existing Travel Club members on 40 active caps and above who do not already have a ticket for this match through the ESTC allocation or via FIFA's general public sales.

To purchase a ticket, please call 0800 389 1966 by 3pm Friday 9 March. When calling you must have your Travel Club fan number to hand.

The tickets available are:

Category 1 priced at £162

Category 2 priced at £127

Please note that we will be checking with FIFA to ensure that supporters do not have more than one ticket for this match; if you do already have a ticket for this match then you risk all tickets for the tournament being cancelled.

Due to the limited allocation we will not be offering tickets at this present time to members on less than 40 caps so please do not call. If we are able to offer further tickets to members on lower caps, the website will be updated accordingly within the next week.

Once purchased, tickets are non-transferable (to other members or non-members) and are non-refundable. For more information, please refer to FIFA's ticketing terms and conditions here:

https://resources.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/ticketing/02/90/39/53/2018fwc_gtcs_en-generaltermsandconditionsfortheuseoftickets_neutral.pdf

If you wish to purchase a ticket for the Tunisia or Panama games, please email your details to englandsupportersclub@thefa.com and we will get back to you.

Thanks Jonathan, finally someone who is reading what im saying. I totally agree with the higher CAPS getting the tickets first. But i just think people like myself who have shown loyalty in the build up to this tournament and are out there for the duration should get a fair crack in this sale.

Adam, i dont object to missing out if some on higher CAPS secures a ticket in the first sale.

Amber, If people on higher CAPs missed out because they cocked up their application it's their fault. With their experience and the amount of emails from the FA saying check before 31st Jan, why should they get another chance ?

David, Only the FA can stop these stories by releasing the information they have on how many tickets were allocated to certain CAPS.......why is everything kept so secretive, just like how many extra tickets they have managed to secure for this extra sale ?

@Jonathan Williams - we did previously ask you to contact us with the details of the 0 cappers you believed had tickets for the Belgium game through the ESTC ballot but we didn't receive a response. We don't believe that any members on 0 caps would have been allocated tickets through the official England allocation so we'd appreciate if you could let us know so that we can verify this.

Please be aware it is entirely possible that members on 0 caps were successful with a Belgium ticket if they applied through the non-ESTC route (Venue Specific tickets or Individual Match Tickets) or for tickets ordered through previous FIFA sales as caps are not taken into account.

Always great to see a comment from #TeamEngland so the ESTC members can see they are monitoring how we feel. dont know why they cant just release figures on how many people in each CAP category got tickets ? it surely is a simple spreadsheet from the data they have ?

Surely Jonathan isn’t going to grass on his 0 cap mate  which could mean that mate of his ticket being taken off him. Just accept what’s happened, be happy for your mate & move on. Yes I applied, missed out & gutted like a lot of people but that’s the way it is.

No I’m not I was thinking that after I did my last comment that he could maybe get his ticket taken off him if I said, I’m the last person to grass on anyone trust me.

What you have to remember as well Paul is that a lot of the top capper's have been there for a lot longer than a 2 year period and there caps are a culmination of 5 to 20 years following religiously, i'm on 43 caps and missed out by 1 cap, then saw this message to late due to work commitments now i'm left with travel and hotel but no match ticket just the way it goes unfortunately but ill still be out in Gdansk having a good few days

Paul Fiddler, caps don't roll over so if someone has been at the top of the caps table for that long then they've been continually following England for that period. Caps reset after 2 years. After the World Cup caps pre-WC 2016 will be removed.

David Airey can you confirm, isnt it just the France Euro CAPS that come off the total after the World Cup ???? I was under the impression that it a 4 year cycle and it was the tournament before last that came off ?

Correct Paul - The current caps total is the total from July 2014 to June 2016, plus a renewal cap, plus all the caps from July 2016-June 2018. After the WC final, caps from 2014-16 will be nulled

I’ve seen 4 Cat 2 tickets for sale on twitter(In the England end)

This was posted in the last few days and are likely to be sold by 4 fellow members lucky enough to get them,4 people cashing in on the match of highest interest and where many fans like me were hoping to start their itinerary but weren’t fortunate enough to get a ticket!

We could argue the toss over the rights and wrongs of this, but if the chances are the security will be tight and tickets cross referenced with fan ID’s these 4 tickets will go to waste as the buyers get denied entry!

Are fans right to be selling tickets on the black market for profit on this game? I think this site should make a bigger statement that members caught doing this are banned and lose any other allocation they hold, limply saying tickets are not transferable is tantamount to tacit approval and turning a blind eye,if you’re the 4 fans do the right thing and resell via FIFA or notify ESC and real fans will have an opportunity to buy them and get in the ground!

Two points - covering ticket allocation AND likely outcome of increasing corporate ticketing.

If I had applied to FIFA prior to the the WC2018 draw-  for venue specific tickets - without knowing which team would be playing OR being a resident in Russia (which I'm not) and going through the home countries application process - then I COULD have obtained tickets for the England v Belgium game - however many ESTC CAP's I had.

Now with our current toxic crisis - I would expect there to be a shedload more tickets for these games becoming available officially : the reason for this is that with ONLY approx 7% tickets allocated to the two countries and 93% of tickets allocated to 1.  Corporate Sponsors 2. Hospitality 3. Russian peoples all bound by the FAN ID (visa) to commit to attend games synchronised with the Ticket - then the first two groups will fall away.

Having managed events where people are either given tickets free or are being charged for attending - the very people who you want to attract to games have a tendency to diary changes in their business and personal lives which precludes forward planning.  Expect a 20% no-show for most month-in-advance events and having an even longer period means this may rise to 40-50%.

The commitments which we as England fans are prepared to give to attending games months in advance far outweighs that of the corporate "ligger" so i would expect to see a LOT OF EMPTY SEATS at this tournament.

    Any comments?

@Peter Wood - this is the same ticket allocation proportions as the last few World Cups, and I don't recall particular issues with empty seats at those, so I can't imagine half-empty stadiums being a thing this time round.

Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons so to speak!!! Who deserves a Belgium Ticket more, a fan that lives north in UK that doesn't miss an AWAY game and chooses to go only two home games and on say 28 Caps or a southern based fan that goes all home games and only two away games and say on 32 Caps....  Just asking....????
