Scotland v England tickets: update

Posted by Team England at 10:42 on Tuesday 17 January 2017

The registration period for the Scotland v England match has now closed.

We have been allocated a total number 4761 tickets by the Scottish FA including13 wheelchair tickets.

5805 Travel Club members registered their interest in a ticket for the match and as a result, we will begin the ballot process shortly.

All applicants will be notified in the coming days on whether they have been successfully allocated a ticket to the match. Please be advised that we will not be able to retrospectively add Travel Club members into the ballot if they missed the registration period.

Ticket sale

Travel Club members who registered their interest and are successful in the ballot will be able to purchase tickets from midday on Friday 3 February until 3pm on Monday 6 February.

For unsuccessful applicants, the 2nd chance sale will start from 12pm on Tuesday 7 February.  Any tickets that go unclaimed in the first sale will be made available to all remaining ESTC members who do not purchase a ticket in the first sale, on a first-come, first served basis via 0844 847 2010 or this website.

Tickets for the match will be collection only in Scotland. Full details will be announced in due course.

That is so frustrating. Surely they could gives us the extra 75 tickets.

Wondering what the cut off will be.

Another 1000 would be nearer the number needed.

70% of the allocation is 3323. I reckon the cut off will be 17/18/19/20 caps, depending on how many of those applied. I'm on 20 caps and I just worked out that if everyone on 20 caps and above applied, it would total 3327 and I'd miss out by 4 :)

5823 applicants represents 79.8% of the current ESTC membership. If 79.8% of members at each caps level applied then the cut off for the ballot would be at around 14 caps. Those in the ballot will have a 57% chance of success.

We gave them 15% allocation, they give under 5090 tickets. Just gotta get lucky in the ballot now.

We didn't sell out a bigger allocation last time we played them their side of the border, so not entirely surprised.

Considering we gave them 14,000 at Wembley, it's disappointing that the FA couldn't secure an extra 1075 tickets to ensure that no one is disappointed. Basically a coin flip in the ballot. Can't see many being made available on the resale. Fingers crossed!
