Germany ticket holders match information

Posted by Team England at 16:50 on Wednesday 23 March 2016

We have been advised by the German Football Federation that the use of Berlin’s transport system is free to ticket holders on match day from 4.45pm until 3am the next day.  This is to enable free travel to and from the stadium.  It’s also worth noting that a day ticket covering all forms of transport, including to and from the airports, only costs €7.40.

Other match day information:
Travel Club members will be able to collect their tickets from FA Representatives at the times and locations listed below

H10 Berlin Ku’damm Hotel
Joachimsthaler Str. 31-32

The H10 hotel is close to the Kurfürstendamm underground station (U1 & U9) and 500m away from the Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten train station.

Dates & Times
Friday 25th March, 12 noon 8pm
Saturday 26th March, 10am - 6pm

FA staff will be located at the stadium between 7pm – 8.45pm.  There will be a ticket office close to the Pichelsberg S-bahn station where all England supporters are advised to alight from to access the stadium.  Please do not use the Olympic Stadium station as you will be on the wrong side of the ground to access the England entrance.

Stadium Address
Olympischer Platz 3, 14053 Berlin

Lost or Stolen Tickets
We will not be in a position to provide duplicate tickets for members who lose their ticket or have their ticket stolen.

Collection Check List
Please bring either your current membership card or any photo identification to collect your ticket.

If you are part of a group, each member must collect in person. Please note that members of the group do not have to collect at the same time, however, it will not be possible for another member to collect your ticket on your behalf.

Proof of Travel
Proof of travel documents will not be required for this match as it is obligatory for each member to collect their ticket in person.

    Hows that work then?

As it looks as if Pichelsberg S-bahn station is further south west about 1.1 km from the stadium and google maps indicates that you need to walk along Jesse-Owens-Allee, almost back to S Olympiastadion (Berlin) to access the stadium. Or will we be required to walk all the way round Passenheimer Straße and Friedrich-Friesen-Allee to access the stadium?

Maybe I should add the plus point of using Pichelsberg S-bahn station is it is closer to those wishing to visit  the BERLIN - WW2 COMMONWEALTH WAR GRAVE Cemetery. under 1 km from the station.

    Hello,

For this match (Germany vs. England) it does't matter. However a friend and I will be going to the England EURO 2016 games and as I live in Cologne we will be going to the matches by car. Consequently, in going from Germany to France, we will have no proof of travel if required. How do we get round this problem?

    Regards

@William Laverick, no need for Proof of Travel for tournament games. Proof of Travel is there as a means of verifying that members have travelled in order to award caps for away games. No caps are awarded for tournaments so no Proof of Travel needed.

You'll be able to get it at the airport station,  machines will probably be in English but just ask anyone if they're not and you don't speak German

The different stations are purely for segregation purposes. If you are going low- key not looking for a fight with the Germans you've probably been drinking with all day anyway and you're not frightened of them which from my experience with Germans is not necessary just go with the crowds
