Category splits update for Euro 2016

Posted by Team England at 13:17 on Wednesday 13 January 2016

We are pleased to advise that we have received some information regarding the category split for each of our Euro 2016 group matches.

We have not been provided with exact capacity by category, and are now unlikely to receive this before the application deadline on the 18th January, but we can provide some useful information regarding the category split.

For all three matches, the largest allocations are in category 3 with approximately 50% of tickets per match in this category. This is followed by category 2 which has the next largest allocation. Both categories 1 and 4 have the smallest allocations. We would recommend that members apply for either category 2 or 3 in the first instance and then tick the box to accept a ticket in an adjacent category. This will give you the best chance of ensuring that you can access a ticket.

On 36 caps, category 4 only for me. If unsuccessful so be it.

They should give all away fans category 4 (the cheapest tickets) for showing loyalty and give the neutral fans the more expensive tickets. If people miss out because they couldn't afford the more expensive route to the final it's joke. The cost was astronomical to follow England to the final when jumping up one category! I can't even imagine the price difference when jumping up 2 or even 3 to get a ticket.

the only way to get change, is direct action....fans without tickets should still travel, swamp the tournament/ grounds, make UEFA etc realise they cant get away it - disaster of a tournament, no fans,  no standing, no atmos, no tournament
