Scotland ticket update

Posted by Team England at 11:25 on Thursday 30 October 2014

Scotland v England
Tuesday 18 November 2014
Celtic Park, Glasgow
Kick off 8pm

We can now confirm that 4800 tickets have been sold for our trip to Celtic Park on 18 November.

In conjunction with our ongoing security procedures for away fixtures we would like to inform members that this match is 100% ticket collection. Tickets can be collected in Glasgow on the evening of Monday 17 November or all day on Tuesday 18 November (match day).

Members who have selected to have their tickets posted out to them will receive a refund for the postage fee paid within the next 14 days.

On both days (17 & 18 November) match tickets can be collected from FA representatives who will be located in a central location of Glasgow city centre. A temporary ticket office will also be set up at Celtic Park for members who wish to collect their tickets 2 hours prior to kick off. We expect to be able to communicate the exact location and opening times of the ticket collection points next week.

If you are part of a group, each member must collect in person. It is not possible for another member to collect your ticket on your behalf.

Members who are running late or unable to collect tickets on either day or before kick-off at Celtic Park are welcome to call the England Supporters Travel Club mobile (07970 146250) to arrange to meet FA representatives outside the ground upon arrival.

Any member wishing to cancel their tickets for this game has until 5pm on Monday 3 November to inform us and receive a refund. Please email all cancellations to englandsupportersclub@TheFA.com

Very poor showing. Mind you, why would people shell out £65 away membership fees if they only want to go to, or can only afford to go to Scotland. Whereas 20000 Scots could easily get tickets for Wembley. I know quite a few non-members that have tickets via Scottish friends.

Why give us an update if the most crucial piece of information (where to actually collect the ticket) isn't available?? Only the fa can be this inept.....

'In conjunction with our ongoing security procedures for away fixtures we would like to inform members that this match is 100% ticket collection'

So once again we are treated like naughty school boys who cant be trusted. No wonder our away support and interest is at an all time low. Well done Englandfans.  You must feel so proud at the way you are ruining things.

I'm assuming simply collecting tickets will mean we are automatically given our 1 cap for this game and won't need proof of travel etc?

"In conjunction with our ongoing security procedures for away fixtures we would like to inform members that this match is 100% ticket collection. "

.... and to make it even more secure that the tickets don't get into the wrong hands we won't be telling you where to collect them from until you have produced passport, birth certificate and a letter from your mum giving you permission to travel.

"We expect to be able to communicate the exact location and opening times of the ticket collection points next week"

Is this down to the fact that someone has made this stupid decision but you've not actually got anywhere willing to host the ticket collection point yet?

As someone has already said, fair play to the venue who is willing to let 5,000 annoyed England fans in

What an absolute joke, close on 5K England fans being treated like children. Having to travel mid-week at not inconsiderable cost and then having to queue up to collect a ticket for a friendly which cost us £50 to start with. I am working on Tuesday 18 November and having to dash to Glasgow to make the kick off.  I could well do without this extra encroachment on my valuable time. I have been to 100s of games in UK and across Europe so why should I be treated like this.

I wish to see your quoted 'security policy' stating clearly why this bizarre decision was made.  The Scotland fans can buy tickets and have them posted. Why are we, proud England fans, ex soldier in my case, being treated like this.

    Reconsider NOW
