Scotland ticket update

Posted by Team England at 11:25 on Thursday 30 October 2014

Scotland v England
Tuesday 18 November 2014
Celtic Park, Glasgow
Kick off 8pm

We can now confirm that 4800 tickets have been sold for our trip to Celtic Park on 18 November.

In conjunction with our ongoing security procedures for away fixtures we would like to inform members that this match is 100% ticket collection. Tickets can be collected in Glasgow on the evening of Monday 17 November or all day on Tuesday 18 November (match day).

Members who have selected to have their tickets posted out to them will receive a refund for the postage fee paid within the next 14 days.

On both days (17 & 18 November) match tickets can be collected from FA representatives who will be located in a central location of Glasgow city centre. A temporary ticket office will also be set up at Celtic Park for members who wish to collect their tickets 2 hours prior to kick off. We expect to be able to communicate the exact location and opening times of the ticket collection points next week.

If you are part of a group, each member must collect in person. It is not possible for another member to collect your ticket on your behalf.

Members who are running late or unable to collect tickets on either day or before kick-off at Celtic Park are welcome to call the England Supporters Travel Club mobile (07970 146250) to arrange to meet FA representatives outside the ground upon arrival.

Any member wishing to cancel their tickets for this game has until 5pm on Monday 3 November to inform us and receive a refund. Please email all cancellations to englandsupportersclub@TheFA.com

You really have no thought or respect for the fans. I land at 2 on the day of the game. You now want me to spend the rest of the day queuing to get my ticket. Unbelievable.

    Why???

To stop cap cheating etc? Pointless now that you give two caps out for home games.

To aid security? Tickets can still be passed on after collection plus the way this club is being run these days, you're creating the biggest security breach potential yourselves, as people won't renew and will just travel independently and go in the home ends going forward!!

    Laughable!!

Ongoing security procedure ? Didn't we all pass a test to prove that we're not members of Al Qaeda when we joined this joke of a club ? If you're worried about tickets falling into the wrong hands simply do spot checks at the ground .

I'm guessing asking 4,800 folk to turn up at the same location at roughly the same time doesn't seem unreasonable to the organisers of this shambles . It's time you started to talk to us , rather than treat us like 2nd class citizens .

The Scottish FA didn't get treated like this when they took 20K to Wembley - no queuing, it was good enough just to be a member of the much cheaper Tartan Army. They are obviously considered more grown up?

Poor ticket policy by FA (100% enforcement v risk management) - and I have to agree with others, people will be forced to flock to the touts.
