EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Changing name on tickets

Hi everyone.  I bought 2 tickets yesterday on the UEFA ticketing site using my link code followed by my son's link code.  They have both come through with my name on them, which I expect could be an issue for the Covid test certificate etc.  Does anybody know how I can change the second ticket to my son's name?

Not sure how old.your son is? Has he got his own phone with the capability to have the UEFA ticket app on it?

If so isn't there an option to keep one ticket for yourself and assign (by email) the second ticket to your son on the app?

    Good luck

We've being going into entrance 1 at Wembley and whilst they have been checking the Covid test and activating tickets both these processes are done independently and there is no request for proof of identity at either stage.

Whilst, I realise you don't want to take the risk, I can't see it being a problem.

As Matt says, both tickets will appear in the mobile ticket app on your phone. On each ticket there are boxes marked 'Keep' and 'Transfer'. Just click 'Keep' on one ticket which will then become your ticket and 'Transfer' on the other one. You will be asked for the email address of your son and then the ticket will be sent to his phone.

You will both need to have the app on your phones. If you don't have the app then it is in the Apple and Google Play app stores under the name UEFA Euro 2020 Mobile Tickets. If you're not sure how to use the app then come back on this thread and we'll help you out.

If your son is a child and doesn't have his own phone and email address then it is officially OK to leave his ticket on your phone. You'll have to have both covid test texts on your phone too.

Note that the tickets have not yet been sent by UEFA to people's phones. I would guess they won't be sent until the FA has completed the ticket sales so that UEFA's computer can allocate seat numbers.

After finally getting onto the ticket portal ( by opting out of my home router and connecting to Bt wi fi hot spot) I entered my partners access code, not once did it bring up her name just mine, so I have no idea if her name will be on the ticket. I am hoping that all the original details are kept on their system from the initial buying process over a year ago. It would have been consoling to have some notification that the ticket would be allocated to MS X.
    We shall see !!!!!

Don't know how old your son is; is he old enough to even require a negative Covid certificate?

    In reply to Nick howell:

All tickets are being delivered to a mobile phone app. Your pair of tickets will be sent to your phone as you submitted the ticket order.

For an adult guest, you must transfer their ticket to their phone unless they don't have a compatible smart phone. When you do that, the ticket will be in their name.

If your partner does not have her own phone and email address then you will have to go to the Wembley ticket office on match day with ID to get a paper ticket. The ticketing stewards have been told not to allow in an adult whose ticket is on someone else's phone.

    Thanks David.
Just to clarify I had to enter the portal twice as I mucked up the first time and only got my ticket. The second time I entered my partners access code but her name never came up just mine. I could not change the ticket name details so worried that I will have two tickets both in my name. is this possible ?

Hi David, both my son's and my tickets were on my phone and had no problems entering,I did not transfer across to his phone as his battery is not good and mine is. I did though have to enter his full details under the KEEP ticket which included passport details etc , it then came up on my phone as his ticket under his name and mine with my name.

Do I have to send tickets to the people I'm going to the match with? Or can I keep all the tickets on my phone?

If you are attending the match with someone who doesn't have a smartphone, or you simply do not wish to send tickets to others, you do not have to.

However, if you decide to keep all the tickets on your phone, you should be aware that you will all have to enter the stadium together.

That's what it says in the UEFA FAQs.

The FA has issued this News Bulletin.

    www.thefa.com/.../group-stage-tickets-soon-to-be-ready-to-download-20210604;sc_lid=99173497&sc_uid=8PBtNa5M9k&sc_llid=9783

Once the lead booker has downloaded the app and logged in they will be able to see all the tickets they have purchased. The lead booker will then need to transfer any other tickets in their order to the Travel Club members they originally purchased tickets for

Members will be able to keep multiple tickets on their mobile if they are entering with a child.  Stewards have been advised to allow this process for anyone entering ground with someone under the age of 18

It's a bit worrying when UEFA and the FA are issuing contradictory advice but I would guess that the general UEFA rule has been varied for Wembley matches.
