Italy Ticket Update

Posted by Team England at 08:10 on Thursday 26 February 2015

Important Information
We have been advised by the Italian Football Federation that all tickets must have the name of the ticket holder printed on them in accordance with their strict ticketing policies. The ticket holder will then be asked to produce photo id (membership card/passport etc) at the ticket turnstile to verify their identity. If anyone is unable to provide photo id or their id doesn't match the name on the ticket then they will be refused entry.

The FA will provide the names of all ticket holders to the Italian Federation on the 10th March. We would hope to receive the printed tickets from the Italian Football Federation very shortly after this date but as this is close to the match there is a possibility that they may not arrive in time to be posted out. If this is the case then the match will revert to 100% collection for all ticket holders with those who selected delivery of their tickets receiving a refund of this charge.

Please note that ticket will only be issued following a successful security check. The FA reserves the right to amend the method by which tickets are distributed to supporters.

Cancellation Policy
Members are reminded of the cancellation policy for match tickets purchased through the England Supporters Travel Club.

Any member wishing to return an away match ticket may apply for a refund but must contact The FA at least 21 days before the match. Please email all cancellation requests to englandsupportersclub@TheFA.com. The deadline date for the Italy match is 3pm on 10 March 2015.

Waiting list
Any members of the England Supporters Travel Club that missed out on a ticket for the Italy match and wish to be added to the waiting list can email us at englandsupportersclub@TheFA.com. Any tickets that are cancelled will then be offered to members on the waiting list using caps totals to allocate tickets to members.

It won't,it'll take them 2 minutes, then the Italians will have a meeting or two about the names for the next 9 & a half days! Given how slow they've been organising this game I'd say 10 days was nothing short of a miracle!

They WILL check our tickets while turning a blind eye to the locals carrying loads of bottles of iced water to greet us with. Those that aren't frozen will be full of warm body fluids. It's the cowardly Italian way.

Here is a question for the FA:-

When arranging this fixture, in common with all other away fixtures, is it not the case that the ticketing arrangements are discussed and "agreed" in full ? The ticketting for his fixture appears to have been subject to all kinds of "dificulty"/  delay...

It does not seem that being clear about all ticketing arrangements, at the point where on-sale details are promoted is part of "customer care"

...shame, too, about the zenophobic comments below... !

On all other occasions when we have been told that our identity will be checked at the turnstiles (i.e. Germany and South Africa World Cups + many qualifiers during the last 15 years), it has never happened.  That is no guarantee, though, that it will not happen this time, so I am taking my englandfan's card with me, just to be on the safe side!
