Any tips - must have filled the Captcha thing about 400 times in the past hour, for tickets in all categories.
    Error message every single time.

It says sold out and then tickets seem to appear again 5 mins later. Very strange.

Tickets have been reappearing over 20-30 times over the past hour from a Sold Out screen.
    Very, very regularly.
Just getting past the Captcha screen to basket is the impossible job.

Bagged 4 at 1.10pm and was easier than trying code sales. 1 X top caps and 3 X mid caps free'd up in ESTC sale.

    In reply to Stephen Reasbeck:

Trouble is those tickets aren't really freed up. The FA will still get the same allocation and your place (I'm assuming) will still be reserved with a security code.
People who are low down in the cap order will still be out of luck and then when a random ballot takes place, they might still not get a ticket. All that's happened is a security code has been wasted. Still in these circumstances it is every man for him/her self.

Nothing wasted. Someone in ESTC will get them, maybe in ballot but still in club and not Joe Public.

This all sounds like a further *** up to me. We’re all waiting to hear of our allocation and eligibility for a ticket from our national association and meanwhile I hear tickets on sale on UEFA website for England’s R16 match a) before our opponents are even known and, b) before we receive a promised email update. To hear that some tickets have been scooped up by people who attend an England match at most, every 5 years is annoying. I wait to hear what the FA say next.

    In reply to Robert Harding:

They're completely separate allocations. UEFA always sell some themselves via a general sale, and each nations FA's sell some. UEFA selling their tickets today has no bearing on the ESTC sale other than freeing up more spaces for members to secure tickets as many travel club members will have bought today in the general sale.

blogs: Sue Smith: World Cup disappointment will still bind young stars together

blogs: Tim Vickery: All on Messi's shoulders?

Bidding to become the first European team to win a World Cup in South America, Germany have become red hot favourites. How could it be otherwise after that semi-final performance? Germany disposed of hosts Brazil with embarrassing, astonishing ease. The match was effectively over by the half-hour mark – and they have had an extra day’s rest compared with Argentina, who had to go the full 120 minutes before...

blogs: Natalie Sawyer: Summer move a springboard for Shaw

There have been a number of high-profile moves for England players this summer but I don’t think there will be many more – someone like Ross Barkley will be better served staying with Everton and backing up his fantastic first season. Ross is such a talent and I think if he is nurtured the right way he can certainly go on to be a great player. It’s probably easier for a club like Liverpool to hold...
