Scotland Away Confirmed

Posted by Jim Gay at 09:50 on Monday 14 July 2014

England will return North of the border for the first time in 15 years when they take on Scotland later this year.

Following the thrilling 3-2 victory at Wembley last August, Roy Hodgson's side will now head to Glasgow for the return match in November.

The first meeting in Scotland since two goals from Paul Scholes gave England the advantage in a UEFA Euro 2000 playoff, will be played on Tuesday 18 November at Celtic Park.

The fixture will be England's final match of 2014, three days after Slovenia visit Wembley as part of the campaign to qualify for UEFA Euro 2016.

England's next match is at Wembley on Wednesday 3 September against Norway.

Just booked my flights to go :-)

Jim - is there a rough idea of allocation?  Celtic Park holds just over 60,000 and they had about half of Wembley last year (whether they were actually allowed that many or not I don't know!)

Hi Andy, at present were still finalizing our allocation with the SFA so I don't have any figures I can give out just yet. As soon as we know we'll post another story.

So why don't we have a fixtures list on this website? Just 'upcoming matches' doesn't give a far enough ahead view for planning away travel.

Not the nicest venue just adds to the spice...fed up of going to sterile nice places like Sweden, Switzerland, San Marino, Norway....Russia, Eastern Europe, Israel far more fun... now Glasgow & Dublin on the horizon at least a bit of spice again

Do we have any idea when the tickets are going to go on sale? I'm on holiday at the end of August and don't want to miss out if I can help it...
