EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Souvenir Tickets

As all tickets through ESTC were going to be delivered by smart phone app, the spring 2020 application process included the option to request souvenir paper tickets which would be delivered to people's registered address after the tournament.

As we are now having all of our tickets cancelled and refunded, any request for souvenir tickets will also be cancelled and the €15 cost will be included in the refund. This is confirmed in the FA News Bulletin. So, when those members who get tickets in the reduced allocation pay for their tickets, will there be an option to request souvenir tickets again ?

For the Nations League in 2019, UEFA offered the option to request souvenir tickets and many England fans planned to take up this option. The souvenir tickets had to be requested at the time of the ticket application but we weren't told this until after applications closed and I'm pretty sure that this option never appeared on the application page of the ticket website. When people pointed out to UEFA that the option had not been on the web page they were told that the orders couldn't subsequently be changed to include this option.

The 2019 experience makes me suppose that we will not have the option to request souvenir tickets under the proposed system for the reduced ticket allocation. This would be a pity as many ESTC members save their tickets in collections. Imagine England getting to the final and we don't have a paper ticket for the collection.

To confirm, all three tickets exactly matched the seat I was allocated.

Contained in the envelope was an A4 sized letter, which was effectively a packing slip.

This listed the three order numbers for the matches I attended / got souvenir tickets for.

I was actually allocated a ticket for the Scotland game in the first re-ballot. The order numbers are in match order, so although the order number is higher, the Croatia order is at the top. This also serves to be order number for souvenir tickets.

This does make me think that some may get a souvenir ticket for all games attended, having only paid one fee of €15. Just a thought...!

Did you get a letter with your ticket?

    What did that list?

1 - Just the one ticket that arrived?

2 - All tickets you ordered / due?

Maybe someone in the packing department sent you the wrong order and someone else has your shipment?

    Hi Nigel,

Yes, I got a letter inside an A4 sized letter, in an envelope delivered in a very large FedEx envelope. The letter just listed the one ticket enclosed and made no mention of the outstanding order(s).

Did those of you who ordered them as €15 souvenirs AND have received them all get prior notice of them arriving by email and text?

Does the order reference in the row of boxes correspond to any order reference you made?

Has it got your correct name and address on the letter?

(You may have got someone else's contents by mistake)?

    Something I just noticed...

The address on the FedEx address label is wrong doesn't match the address on my letter.

The town I live in has been moved to a completely different county on the FedEx address label!!

    Update:

I've just had another text/email confirming another delivery is due tomorrow!

Shocking - we all may as well went to the ticket office and said we dont have a smart phone. No cost then!

    Dissapointing if this is case.

I did this at the Nations League to ensure I got paper copies.

But under the current covid restrictions it didn't feel right doing it for this tournament.

The amount of threads regarding 'Souvenir tickets' and the amount of activity in this thread shows, to me at least, just what appetite there is for real tickets.

Surely UEFA/FIFA will make this easier in the future - especially so as people taking screenshots of the app based tickets and fraudulently trying to get access was one of the issues in Final day.

    Hi Nigel,

The name and address tally. Only the ticket enclosed is listed on the letter and the letter makes no mention of my other orders.

What it also shows Matt, is what a greedy money making machine Uefa are. Lets charge fans £300+ for a mobile ticket, then another £15 if they want a paper copy. I paid a crazy price for a hospitality ticket v Germany, and you werent even given the chance of ordering a souvenir ticket . I did go to the ticket office on the day, but ,unlike me, it was a bit of a half-hearted attempt to get a paper copy. So I may order one from the Uefa store.

I did pay for a paper copy for my Final ticket, but ended up getting a paper copy from the brilliant ticket office on the day, but Ive also had an email today from FedEx saying something is on the way , so waiting to see what it is !

As a another data point in case helpful.

Today I received a ticket for the Semi Final (Denmark) only. The seat details are random and definitely not mine.

I attended all of England’s games at Wembley but only clicked the Souvenir Ticket option when I purchased the three group games.

So they’ve either completely messed up my order or they’re sending them out on a game by game basis and including all tickers even if the Souvenir Ticket option was not specifically selected for later games.

Only ordered a souvenir ticket for the final but today received the other 3 games I attended in the same delivery. Had to get a paper ticket from the ticket office on the afternoon of the final as I (genuinely) had phone issues, which I suppose explains why I didn't receive that again. The proper ticket and souvenir ones are slightly different.

I ordered a souvenir ticket for the final when ordering my final ticket, and have today received a souvenir ticket for the Czech game instead!
Does anyone have an email address for who to contact at UEFA?

Shaun it appears that if you paid the €15 for ANY match you will receive ALL tickets associated with orders for that email address but in different despatches (one despatch per order).

The UEFA helpers and the contributions on the ESTC Facebook page arent much help on clarity on this.

Hence be patient and some more will probably arrive.

Another theory is that they seem to be dispatching the orders with only one person in the group first.

Thanks. I’ll wait and see if all the others turn up then. It will be costing them a lot more than €15 in postage if they do send them all. Bizzare!

There have been a number of high-profile moves for England players this summer but I don’t think there will be many more – someone like Ross Barkley will be better served staying with Everton and backing up his fantastic first season. Ross is such a talent and I think if he is nurtured the right way he can certainly go on to be a great player. It’s probably easier for a club like Liverpool to hold...
