EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Membership

Slightly confused. I renewed mine and my dad's Travel Club membership at the same time. I even applied for 2 tickets to Euro 2020 using both FAN numbers but ... It appears The FA only took one lot of payment and renewed my membership only. Which probably explains why I failed in my Euro 2020 bid, or partly? I don't understand why only my membership was renewed and I certainly don't understand how I was able to apply for 2 Euro 2020 tickets if one membership had expired?

One potential answer is that you applied through the FA part of the UEFA portal and your dad had a ESC (not ESTC as renewal wasn't successful) membership number.

When the FA then vetted your UEFA application (as they did all of the England ESTC members) only you would have been a valid member and hence only you would have got tickets.

Another answer is you applied through the non FA route through the portal which still allowed entry of your ESTC (you) and ESC (dad) fan numbers (but weren't validated) and only you were successful.

I think the first answer is likely to be the one though.

Sorry to say the emphasis should have been on you two to check the ESTC membership (email confirmation, bank balance) months ago.

Silver lining is there will be almost certainly more UEFA sales and possible even the FA ESTC membership opening up again before the Euros.

If you're confident (and would only go if dad was sat next to you) you could cancel your ticket at the next available phase and apply properly together.

I'd keep hold of mine if I were you though.

    Good luck
