England v Panama: pre-match update

England v Panama: pre-match update

Posted by Team England at 11:01 on Thursday 21 June 2018

With three days to go until England's next World Cup match against Panama we would like to provide supporters heading to the game with some further updates.

FAN ID

Supporters heading to Russia without the laminated copy of the FAN ID are advised that they must print off the electronic copy they have been sent before they leave the country. Supporters will then need to take it to a FAN ID centre to exchange for the laminated copy. We expect the queues for the FAN ID centres to be quite busy so supporters are advised to head there early in order to avoid potentially missing any of the match. You will need to bring your passport with you.

All supporters must bring the laminated FAN ID with them to the stadium and checks will be made to ensure the details on the ticket and FAN ID match. If you do not bring your FAN ID with you, you will not be allowed into the stadium.

For more information about the FAN ID and distribution centres, please visit: https://www.fan-id.ru/centers.html

Nizhny Novgorod

Nizhny Novgorod is Russia's fifth largest city and is situated 400km east of Moscow. Free trains are running between Moscow and Nizhny before and after England's match against Panama but supporters must reserve their seats beforehand by visiting https://tickets.transport2018.com/free-train/schedule. You will need to have a valid match ticket and FAN ID in order to travel on these trains.

The weather in Nizhny for Sunday is expected to be around 32 degrees so supporters are advised to keep well hydrated, especially if they plan to walk to the stadium from the main railway station or from the city centre. Unlike Volgograd, we do not expect supporters and players to be plagued by midges whilst in Nizhny!

The nearest tram and bus station to the stadium is Moskovsky Vokzal which is a 15-20 minute walk to the ground.  Many of the roads surrounding the stadium will be closed so taxis may not be able to get you close and there may be a lot of congestion on the roads.

The stadium

Supporters are reminded to get to the stadium around 2 hours before kick-off to allow for the airport-style security checks. You will need to prove that any electronic devices are working by turning them on and off again so please ensure any tablets or mobile phones are fully charged.

Any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper will not be permitted into the stadium and must be checked into lockers, left in hotels or stored in the luggage cabins outside the ground. Please be prepared to queue for some time after the game to retrieve your items.

Flags up to two metres in size will be permitted into the stadium; if you wish to hang your flag in the stadium you are advised to get there early - the stadium will open 3 hours before kick-off.

Once inside the stadium please listen to announcements. At the time of publishing, we do not expect there to be a hold-back but please listen announcements throughout the match for further updates.

Fan Fest

The Fan Fest for Nizhny is located at the Minin and Pozharsky Square with a capacity of 15,000. For more information about the Fan Fests in Russia please visit: https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/fan-fest/index.html?cid=go-ad_Fan%20Fest%20Cities_UK_EN_na_en

Tickets

Supporters are reminded to take good care of their tickets as replacements for any lost or stolen tickets will not be issued. Please also be aware that no vouchers are being issued for conditional knock-out matches; should England reach each knock-out stage, all supporters will be required to collect in person in the host city.
