Posted by Team England at 13:02 on Wednesday 02 May 2018

Ahead of the release of Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager - the definitive film about the life and career of revered football manager Sir Bobby Robson – the film will have three exclusive preview screenings at Wembley Stadium (London, 23rd May), Portman Road (Ipswich, 25th May) and St James Park (Newcastle, 22nd May)

Taking place one week before the official release in select theatres from 31st May, an audience will have the chance to see a special pitch-side screening at Wembley stadium on 23rd May in honour of the footballing legend and in support of The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, launched in 2008, which raises money to find more effective ways to detect and treat cancer. The event will feature an exclusive Q&A with ex-England footballer Terry Butcher, hosted by Henry Winter, Chief Football writer at The Times and an appearance from Sir Bobby’s widow, Lady Elsie Robson.

Directed by Gabriel Clarke and Torquil Jones and starring an A-list cast (Ferguson, Mourinho, Guardiola, Ronaldo, Gascoigne, Shearer, Lineker, Butcher) never-before-seen archive footage and emotional testimony from Lady Elsie Robson, this is an intimate portrait of one of sport’s most inspirational and influential figures.

Covering a career that saw some of the greatest moments in footballing history; the hand of God, Gazza’s tears, England’s greatest World Cup abroad, titles in Europe’s top leagues, European triumph with Ipswich Town and a Barcelona treble, this heartfelt and personal film is led by the intimate recollections of Sir Bobby Robson himself.

During an extraordinary career, in which Robson overcame the most extreme challenges, including battles with cancer, his journey came full circle when he returned to save his beloved Newcastle.

This is the perfect opportunity to soak up the incredible Wembley stadium atmosphere, whilst enjoying the emotional and intimate portrait of one of sport’s most inspirational and influential figures - Book your ticket now from here!

There is a limited availability, so book soon to avoid disappointment. Standard tickets cost £20 (including a £5 donation to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation).
