I know we seem to be a bunch of moaning old buggers on here and yes the priority sale is great for Travel Club members.  However, my kids are not Travel Club members which means I can't purchase my tickets until the normal sale date on Tuesday - NO benefit to me and probably many others who take the next generation of England Fans to Fortress Wembley!!!

Same here. Not taking a five year old to Russia or paying the ESTC fee to get round this, so will just have to wait. As I used to always by straight after 12 for our group, this actually means that as a family we are further back in the ticket queue than normal! #ungrateful

The England team need to spread their fixtures around the country. Me and my son would need to take two days off work & school to watch this match.

When ESTC members requested an exclusive ticket sales window before ESC members, the objective was for them to have the opportunity to bag their favourite seats as a reward for their support and loyalty. But they had in mind that they would be able to get tickets for themselves AND their non-ESTC guests. A system in which they can only buy for themselves and other ESTC members is worse than what we had before.

I'm an ESTC member and you don't speak for me, David.  I wanted a an exclusive window just for ESTC members, as we had when I first signed up and exactly as we've got now.  I jolly well should be able to get the best tickets before people who've not paid the membership, let alone spent money travelling all over Europe.

Jonathan, completely agree - £75 membership certainly should bring some perks, including this!

Agree with Jonathan, members whom pay membership away travel should have the opportunity first without doubt. However a second window is still available to accommodate purchasing additional tickets. I'm a travel member and I'm waiting for today to buy one extra, it's not a problem.

It's a fair system going forward, you pay your money for these windows.

Why can't we have more games on a Saturday afternoon during international breaks. Even though I live on the South Coast (only 70 miles south of Wembley) I cannot get back to Victoria station after a mid-week game in time to get the last train home. This either means a detour another station and then getting a taxi for the final 20 miles or staying overnight in a hotel. It's about time the FA thought of the fans for a change.

The problem is that this new arrangement creates 2 classes of ESTC member: those who can benefit from the perk and those who can't. I've also paid my membership fee and spent £000s following England abroad. But, because I go to the game with my son, I have been pushed further down the pecking order for tickets than before the change.

The arrangement which I envisaged, an exclusive window for ESTC members and all of their guests, would have been of benefit to all ESTC members. The arrangement which has actually been introduced provides a greater benefit than that for ESTC members who only go with other members, but is actually a step backwards for those ESTC members who go with non-members.

Perhaps Team England should organise a vote:-

    a) no exclusive window, i.e. what we had previously,

    b) exclusive window for ESTC members and all their guests,

    c) exclusive window for ESTC members and only ESTC guests.

I would be happy to accept the result of this vote if it went against me.

On the flip side, if you open up to ESTC members plus their "guests", then that would mean a guest could effectively take priority within a priority window: if an ESTC member isn't able to get online until, say, 12.10pm, then a guest whose ESTC-member friend is ready for the sale bang on noon effectively takes priority. It seems fairer to me that a paying member has priority over a non-paying member who just happens to have someone online ready to buy tickets a few minutes earlier.

They can't do Saturday 3pm kickoffs during the season, Malcolm, as they wouldn't be able to televise them then.  No reason at all not to do Saturday 5:30pm kickoffs, though.

And I'm sorry, David, but your own choices have pushed you further down the pecking order imo.  Sometimes in life you just can't have all the shiny marbles.

I don't mean this to sound rude or aggressive so apologise in advance if it does come across that way, but I agree with Adam: what possible justification is there for your son have a chance of getting better seats than I?

Perhaps the ideal solution would be...

WINDOW 1: ESTC members only (with discount)

WINDOW 2: ESTC members and their guests only (with discount for the TC members)

WINDOW 3: ESTC members and ESC members only (with discount for TC members)

WINDOW 4: General sale (with no discount)

...I'd have no objection to that but it would be unnecessarily complicated imo.
