Scotland v England second chance sale

Posted by Team England at 15:49 on Monday 06 February 2017

Following the closure of the first Travel Club members' sale we can confirm that 341 tickets will be available in the second chance sale for England's match against Scotland  on Saturday 10 June.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to existing members of the 2016-2018 Travel Club who do not already have a ticket to this match. The sale will begin from midday on Tuesday 7 February until the match has sold out.

The tickets are priced at £45 for adults and £15 for under 16 Travel Club members.

Any Travel Club members wishing to purchase tickets can do so by logging into  www.TheFA.com/Tickets or by calling the England Supporters Travel Club ticket line on 0844 847 2010.

We have 2 wheelchair accessible tickets available priced at £20. If you are a Travel Club member and require a wheelchair space (and have not yet purchased a ticket), please call us on 0800 389 1966 from midday on Tuesday 7 February.

341 wasters of time and space then. Fancy turning down such an opportunity.

It astounds me that 341 people would register to go to our nearest away game (well for us up north) only to turn a ticket down! A handful may be genuine, but he majority appear to have just wasted the time of others.

I agree with the above, I understand some situations (work commitments) mean you no longer can go, but nearly 10% of people who got a ticket didn't purchase it. It's unfair on those that missed out by 1 cap who would have got a ticket originally and now may miss out on 2nd chance sale.

It's ALWAYS around the 10% mark. Bizarre really as can't understand why it would always be so high.

Works both ways though as I've benefitted from 2nd sales in the past as much as I've missed out by 1 or 2 caps on the initial ballot.

Can someone please clarify - is the 2nd chance sale for ANY member who didn't get one, or did you need to have applied initially and been unlucky in the ballot ?

Second chance sale is open to any (away) member. Realistically, I doubt very, very few people who want a second chance ticket, didn't actually apply originally. In the few cases they may have done, it's probably that they genuinely missed the application deadline.
