Scotland v England: ballot update

Scotland v England: ballot update

Posted by Team England at 12:31 on Monday 30 January 2017

Update: We are pleased to advise that The SFA have offered junior tickets for this match priced at £15. Junior members will be able to purchase these during the sale which starts on Friday 3 February.

The ballot for tickets to the Scotland v England match on Saturday 10 June has now been completed and emails will be sent out shortly to all who registered their interest.

We have been allocated 4761 tickets in total by the Scottish Football Association with 5805 members registering their interest. The caps cut-off was 16 to be guaranteed a ticket.

Members can also check their application status by logging into the website and clicking the link here: https://www.thefa.com/england-supporters/travel-club-tickets-matches

Successful applicants

You will need to purchase your ticket from midday on Friday 3 February until 3pm Monday 6 February. You can purchase your ticket by calling the England Supporters Travel Club ticket line on 0844 847 2010 or via www.thefa.com/tickets.

Please note that group bookings are limited to a maximum of four members per group and each person would need to have been successful in the ballot. If you wish to be seated as a group, please book your seats in one order by providing each Travel Club fan number and dates of birth of each member of your group – we will not be able to add further seats to a booking at a later date.

Wheelchair access

We have been allocated 13 wheelchair tickets and a ballot was conducted with the cut off at 14 caps to be guaranteed a ticket.  ESTC members who were successful in the ballot and registered for wheelchair accessible seating should call us directly on 0800 389 1966 between midday on Friday 3 February and until 3pm on Monday 6 February to purchase their ticket.

Unsuccessful applicants

If you still wish to attend the match, there will be a 2nd chance sale for any 2016-2018 ESTC members who missed out in the first sale. Any tickets that go unclaimed in the first sale will be made available to ESTC members on a first-come-first-served basis on midday on Tuesday 7 February via 0844 847 2010 or www.thefa.com/tickets.

Tickets

The tickets are priced at £45 for adults, £15 for junior Travel Club members and £20 for wheelchair.

All members will be required to collect their tickets in person in Scotland and full collection details will be provided a few weeks before the match.

Travel Club members are reminded that these tickets are for personal use only and non-transferable under any circumstance.

Members have up until 21 days before the match to cancel their ticket in writing and receive a refund.

A bizarrely short window of time allowed to actually buy tickets, yet again.

Will have 12 caps by the time of the game and have missed out, yet loads of people who have zero caps have got tickets. Not overly impressed to be honest. Surely given that we gave Scotland 14,000 at Wembley, The FA could secure the extra few hundred tickets it would take to satisfy demand?

I think it's a disgrace that the Scottish FA can't or won't satisfy our members requirements. Considering only 5805 registered their interest the FA should insist our allocation requirements are met.

Time for FIFA to intervene I think.

Why would the Scottish FA want to satisfy our fans when they will have just as high demand from their own supporters. The allocation is about right given the size of the ground and the segregation that is required so can't see how blame can be put on the Scottish FA. Its not their fault that our own FA were more than happy to offer 15k tickets to the Scots in November.

You say why would Scotland satisfy the demand when they don't need to......well why on earth did we give them so many....everyone assumed it was because it would be reciprocated but they have just screwed us, like Johnathan said only 5000 odd applied they actually got away lightly with giving us that but they must be rolling around laughing at how they have stitched England up! If we only gave them 4K at Wembley it would still have sold out!!! We just assumed there had been an agreement! It stinks.two of us with tickets two of us without! Sort it out FA or at least give us assurances that if they ever come down here again they will be given the bare minimum required by competition rules

Would we have sold out if we only gave them 4k? Possibly but it would have meant a lot more Scots in the home end which is one of the reason I reckon the FA decided to give them more tickets. I doubt there was any sort of deal regarding ticket numbers and at the end of the day given the size of the ground 4.5k is still a good allocation. There was always going to be more demand than tickets for this game so the FA were never going to be able to please everyone.

If I'm reading correctly then us that have missed out on this ballot won't get priority if any go on general sale. Surely the FA can at least give us 1st option on any unclaimed tickets?

I'm sure the Scottish fa said they would reciprocate the 15 %

Do Caps still get allocated for matches that are over subscribed?. I've now missed out on Scotland and Germany tickets so will potentially get knocked down the Caps table if so and therefore making it less likely to get tickets for up coming games.

Come on the Scottish FA. Increase the allocation by 1000 please and we will all be happy! Got euro tickets but not this time - the luck of the draw I suppose.

Simon - you need to understand how the ballot works! 16 caps is the cut off to be in the top 70% and guaranteed a ticket, everyone on 15 caps and below goes into the draw for the remaining 30% of tickets. Your mate got lucky and you didn't.

Cassidy - home games plus second chance sales plus games that won't sell out (e.g. France away)
