Germany v England ballot update

Germany v England ballot update

Posted by Team England at 09:00 on Tuesday 13 December 2016

The German Football Federation have confirmed our allocation for the match taking place on Wednesday 22 March 2017 in Dortmund.

We have been allocated a total number of 3165 tickets split across two price categories: 1238 Category 4 tickets (lower tier) priced at £39 and 1927 Category 5 tickets (upper tier) priced at £22.

The ballot for tickets has now been completed and emails have been sent to members who registered. The caps cut-off was 17.

Successful applications

How to buy a ticket
If you still wish to attend the match, you will need to purchase your ticket from midday on Tuesday 13 December and until 3pm Thursday 15 December. You can purchase your ticket by calling the England Supporters Travel Club ticket line on 0844 847 2010 or alternatively log onto www.thefa.com/tickets.

Please note that group bookings are limited to a maximum of four 2016-2018 Travel Club members per group and each person would need to have been successful in the ballot. If you wish to be seated as a group, please book your seats in one order by providing each Travel Club fan number and dates of birth of each member of your group – we will not be able to add further seats to a booking at a later date.

Wheelchair Access
ESTC members who were successful in the ballot and registered for wheelchair accessible seating should call us directly on 0800 389 1966 between midday on Tuesday 13 December and until 3pm Thursday 15 December.

Unsuccessful applications

2nd chance sale
If you wish to still attend the match, there will be a 2nd chance sale for any 2016-2018 ESTC members who missed out the first time round.  Any tickets that go unclaimed in the first sale will be made available to ESTC members on a first-come, first served basis from midday on Friday 16 December via 0844 847 2010 or www.thefa.com/tickets.

Please be assured that we have requested additional tickets from the German Football Federation in order to meet the demand from our members.  If additional tickets are offered to us then we will conduct a further ballot and update members accordingly.

All members will be required to collect their tickets in person in Dortmund, full collection details will be provided a few weeks before the match date.

Travel Club members are reminded that these tickets are for personal use only and non-transferable under any circumstance.

Members have up until 21 days before the match to cancel their ticket in writing and receive a refund.

What a poor allocation. In berlin there was thousands of English in with the germans.

Yeah agreed completely with the above comments. I've got flights and didn't get a ticket was expecting a much larger allocation and once I heard only 4099 applied I thought it was a certainty. Spent 75 on the membership, tickets for Malta, Scotland, Spain, Lithuania.

But it looks like if this was meant to be the easiest away game to have a chance in going to then Scotland. France and Malta away will be impossible.

The FA need to push for extra 900 tickets or there's gonna be me and 899 other Englishman in the German home end.

Makes no sense whatsoever, more frustrating the fact that people with zero caps got tickets in the ballot without ever going to a game before. I know someone with 18 caps who didn't get a ticket. It's a ridiculous allocation.

Rang up and I got told it was 50/50 if we get tickets but it's looking unlikely as it said on German fa that they want sell out of home fans

i dont really understand why it says "the caps cut-off was 17", but then numerous people have mentioned how they got a ticket with less than 17 tickets?

I think the FA need to look into claims that people with less than 16 caps have secured a ticket whilst those with the required amount of caps have missed out.

We pay a lot for our travel memberships and the cap system is a good one but only if it is correctly administered to ensure regular fans get a ticket in the event of a small allocation.
