Germany v England 2017 update

Posted by Team England at 10:06 on Wednesday 30 November 2016

The deadline has now passed for Travel Club members to register their interest for the Germany v England match in Dortmund on Wednesday 22 March 2017.

We are still awaiting the final ticket allocation from the Deutscher Fußball-Bund, however we have had 4099 Travel Club members register their interest in a ticket for this match.

In the event that demand exceeds supply, it may be necessary to conduct a ballot based on members caps; the caps system is in place to ensure that, should tickets to England away games and tournament matches be oversubscribed, they will be distributed as fairly as possible and on the following basis; 70% of tickets will be awarded to fans at the top of the caps table (and who registered), with the rest of the tickets going to a ballot.

A further announcement regarding the ticket sales dates will be made shortly and an email will be sent to those who registered.

As the post says, "In the event that demand exceeds supply, it may be necessary to conduct a ballot based on members caps; the caps system is in place to ensure that, should tickets to England away games and tournament matches be oversubscribed, they will be distributed as fairly as possible and on the following basis; 70% of tickets will be awarded to fans at the top of the caps table (and who registered), with the rest of the tickets going to a ballot"

In a nutshell, if it goes to a ballot, keep your fingers crossed..... tightly.

@Nick Broome: You should normally receive a newsletter via email informing you of registration is opened for away games.

If you haven't received it, contact the FA so that you are added. Try and check this forum as often as you can in order to make sure you register interest for future away games.
