England v Malta - England fanzone for Travel Club members

Posted by Team England at 12:25 on Monday 03 October 2016

England Supporters Travel Club members who have bought tickets for England v Malta are invited into the pre-match England fanzone.

Appropriately, it’s immediately behind the England Home End, between Turnstiles C and D on the external concourse.

The fanzone will have an under-cover bar, a food outlet, DJ, cars, games and some great football activities to keep fans entertained before going into the stadium. It opens at 2.30pm, with the game kicking-off at 5pm.

And that’s not all. There will also be a Q&A with England legend JOHN BARNES, courtesy of Vauxhall. John was a winner of 79 caps between 1983 and 1995 – and of course also famous for the rap In England's 1990 World Cup song, New Order's ‘World in Motion’. And let’ not forget that goal he scored against Brazil in the Maracana Stadium back in 1984.

The fanzone has been created with a view to having larger fanzones in the future, but at this stage we are only licensed to cater for 480 fans at any one time. Therefore, entry will be first-come-first-served to England Supporters Travel Club members and Vauxhall car owners. Entry requires your Travel Club membership card or Vauxhall fob for the stewards at the entrance.

Hopefully see you there!

    So 480 at a stadium with a capacity of 90000. So 0.5% ..... speechless!

Travel club members Matthew. I'd say that's plenty large enough if you are interested enough to get there early as most travel members I know won't go anywhere near the stadium until the very last minute.

Will have to see travelling from Manchester in the morning.  If Brian from Birmingham reads this be good to see you again after that fiasco at Vienna airport.

As a Travel Club Member You can take a guest in. There was free tea and coffee in the one at the Etihad. Nice to get a drink out of the FA. You can be slow or fast but you must get to the line.
