Ticket info for World Cup qualifier against Scotland

Posted by Team England at 11:23 on Monday 05 September 2016

Ticket selling arrangements for England’s encounter with Scotland at Wembley Stadium connected by EE can now be confirmed.

The old foes renew acquaintances on Friday 11 November (7.45pm kick-off) for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Due to overwhelming demand, tickets will initially be offered exclusively to existing members of the England Supporters Club and England Supporters Travel Club from 12pm on Tuesday 6 September through to 3pm on Monday 3 October.

During this period, sales will be prioritised to ‘top cappers’ and as a result those who signed up to the membership scheme after 10am on Friday 2 September will not be eligible to purchase tickets for this fixture.

Any further sales after Monday 3 October will be subject to availability. Ticket sales are for home supporters only. Any opposing fans, as identified by both The FA and The SFA, attempting to purchase within the home ends will not have their tickets issued and will not be entitled to a refund. Equally, any away supporters within the home ends on the evening of the match will be ejected without prejudice or refund.

Visiting supporters should visit www.scottishfa.co.uk for ticketing information.

November’s fixture will be the 112th between the near neighbours with England having the edge with 47 wins, 41 defeats and 24 draws. The most recent meeting was the 3-1 victory at Celtic Park in November 2014.

Tickets for existing members' can be bought via TheFA.com/Tickets.

    Team England.

Can you tell me what happened to the promised priority sale for travel club members for this fixture, as indicated in the membership benefits information etc? I could quote it but sure you are aware of this as it was also stated in my membership renewal letter from you, listed as the first benefit to travel club members.

Surely if the demand was high that was all the more reason to ensure travel club members benefited in being able to purchase tickets before anyone else yet you have done the opposite and opened it up to 468840 people having a priority from the original 6152 travel club members.

An explanation would be the least I expect having to have purchased a much dearer ticket category than I would have done under your original posting of the priority sale being only available to travel club members from 12:00 on 6th Sept until 3pm on 12th Sept.

Please explain how this change has benefited anyone other than the free membership members who you could have quite easily and sensibly opened up a 2nd priority sale to included them after 12th Sept until the 3rd October?
