Slovakia v England: security update

Members of the Travel Club who are attending the Slovakia v England match on Sunday 4 September should be aware of an increased police presence in Bratislava this weekend as a result of EU meetings being held in the city.

The Slovakian authorities have notified us that supporters could see a visible increase in police numbers during their visit to Bratislava. This is in connection with Slovakia having the Presidency of the Council of the European Union which will be hosting a number of meetings around the city involving the EU's foreign ministers.  As a result,  supporters should be aware that any offences, however minor, will be treated as serious and dealt with accordingly by the local authorities.
