Second chance sale for Slovakia tickets

If you wish to attend the match against Slovakia on 4 September, there will be a 2nd chance sale for any 2016-2018 ESTC members who missed out the first time round.

We have 314 tickets that will be made available to all ESTC members (who have yet to purchase a ticket) on a first-come-first-served basis from midday on Wednesday 3 August. You can purchase your ticket online via www.thefa.com/tickets or by calling 0844 847 2010.

  • Just spoken to guy at ticket master on phone he said tickets all gone ......

  • Well here was my experience, sitting in an Internet Cafe in Dnepropetrovsk (having missed out on 23 caps)

    1. They finally opened round about 12.08 to 12.10

    2. I got through. Wanted 2 tickets but it only gave 1

    3. It refused my Mastercard. Then it refused my Visa

    4. I noticed the system had my Ukrainian address so reinput the UK address for the cards

    5. It refused them both again (twice)

    6. Rang the number. Got through on about the 5th attempt

    7. It is a premium number. To keep you hanging on they give you a VERY long recital of their Ts and Cs. As I then puched button 3 twice by mistake I actually got these twice before joining the queue

    7. After 5 minutes in the queue got through but the girl said they were all sold out. Had to hang on another 5 minutes while she talked to her supewrvisor. She said that my card was refused as "someone else" had bought my ticket while I was trying to pay. I was just about to give her an earfull when it turned out that the "someone else" was actually me as I had not loggedx out physically (I had just closed the screen), and somehow she was able to take my details over the phone

    8. I reckon the phone call cost in the region of 30 pounds

    And I think it unfair that those of us who go through all this cr*p are then left hanging on the phone for ages listening to a completely unnecessary recital of the Ts and Cs. I know it is forbidden to resell etc etc.

    I don't want a red carpet, I just want to be treated as a valued customer. The whole problem with the EF set up is that we are not valued customers, we are cows to be milked or swine to be kicked around.

  • Where to even start with that. What a shambles. Tickets came online late, I then couldn't add another travel club member despite an earlier post saying that would be possible. I then tried to buy two tickets in separate transactions, but didn't want to get caught in the middle with only one ticket so had to pull out. A dreadful experience for a first time travel club member. I hope they invest in a new portal.

  • Well me and a friend got a ticket easy enough.. only issue was we couldn't add each other to our order and buy 2 tickets ... so we just bought 2 separately.. fine by me.

  • @CraigMottershead My mate assumed that I was sorting them and so wasn't by his laptop or with his card. An earlier post from England stated we'd be able to buy for another travel club member, so when that wasn't possible, yes, it was a massive hitch.

  • I was on line before 12 and Kept refreshing and got a ticket at about 10 past

  • phone line was jammed but managed to get one online 57260706
