Slovakia v England ballot information

Posted by Team England at 17:01 on Wednesday 20 July 2016

Following the completion of the registration process for tickets to Slovakia v England on 4 September 2016, we are able to confirm that just under 2500 members registered their interest for the match. The Slovakian Football Federation have issued us with 1739 tickets for the match and therefore it was necessary to conduct a ballot in order to allocate the tickets fairly.

Please see the below information for the next steps regarding whether you were successful or unsuccessful with your ticket application.

Successful applications.

How to buy a ticket
If you still wish to attend the match, you will need to purchase your ticket between 12pm on 29 July and 3pm on the 2 August. You can purchase your ticket by calling the England Supporters Travel Club ticket line on 0844 847 2010 or alternatively log onto www.thefa.com/tickets.

Wheelchair Access
ESTC members who were successful in the ballot but require wheelchair accessible seating should call us directly on 0800 389 1966 from 10am on July 29 to book their tickets.

Unsuccessful applications

2nd chance sale
If you wish to still attend the match against Slovakia, there will be a 2nd chance sale for any 2016-2018 ESTC members who missed out the first time round. Any tickets that go unclaimed will be made available to ESTC members on a first-come-first served basis from midday on Wednesday 3 August via 0844 847 2010 or www.thefa.com/tickets.

Pricing and more information

Tickets are priced at £24 each and are collection only out in Slovakia with full collection details to follow shortly.

Please note that group bookings are limited to a maximum of four 2016-2018 Travel Club members per group and each person would need to have been successful in the ballot. If you wish to be seated as a group, please book your seats in one order by providing each Travel Club fan number and dates of birth of each member of your group – we will not be able to add further seats to a booking at a later date.

Travel Club members are reminded that these tickets are for personal use only and non-transferable under any circumstance.

Members have up until 21 days before the match to cancel their ticket in writing and receive a refund.

How are ballots done?  Are they independently adjudicated and verified?

2nd chance sale is a great way to get one - i've needed 2nd chance sales 3 times in the past, and got one every time. Just be on the website 5-10 mins before it starts, and keep hitting F5 to refresh the page until they come on sale to get to the front of the queue. It works! I would guess (based on previous) that out of this allocation, perhaps 200-250 tickets will be available in 2nd chance.

    Good luck folks!

I never ever get a ticket in a ballot and I've been a member since membership began. Does anyone actually get a ticket in the ballot? Law of averages should mean I'd get one occasionally. I think it's fixed.
