Euro 2016 buyers: Flags and bags for Wales match

Posted by Team England at 11:21 on Wednesday 15 June 2016

We would like to remind supporters travelling to remaining EURO 2016 games of some useful information regarding flags and bags.

You will not be allowed to enter any stadium with the following items;
• Banners or flags larger than 2 meters by 1.5 metres
• Flagpoles or banner poles of any kind. Only flexible plastic poles and so-called double poles that do not exceed 1 metre in length and 1 cm in diameter shall be permitted
• Large bags, rucksacks, suitcases and sports bags. UEFA state that any objects which are larger than 25cm x 25cm x 25cm or which cannot be stowed under the seat in the Stadium.

We advise all those who are travelling to take as little as possible into the grounds. If fans attempt to enter the stadium with any of the above the items may be confiscated. Fans who choose to leave items in lockers in the stadium or fan zones do so at their own risk and The FA cannot guarantee the safety and security of your personal belongings.

For more information and general queries you can view UEFA’s FAQ’s by clicking here.

    Obviously you can gain entry though with flags that cover half the seating area, flares, fire-crackers, knuckle dusters and knives!

    Was going to take my flag as its one of the smaller ones out there. But it's 2.40cm X 1.30 so still over the regulated size!!

    I had a small bag, which I even emptied and was within the dimensions and would easily fit under my seat and wasn't allowed to take it into the stadium - my advice would be if you can don't take anything .

    During the various games we have attended here, its very hit and miss of what you can take through, i get the impression the individual checkers have their own understanding of the regulations, my advice would be when told your particular item needs to be stowed in the bag drop cabins is to say ok, turn around and go further up the checking area and try again, no point arguing with the particular person, i mean how many times has a referee changed his mind over a decision because the error of his ways has been pointed out to him by a group of players or crowd.
