So it's official Wiltshire is better and fitter than Drinkwater based on this seasons performance!!!

Have to agree with the comments about Wilshire but I also have a concern about Henderson, not sure if he's up to it at the moment.

Unbelievable that someone who has hardly had any game time this season has replaced one of the most consistent midfielders who won the Premiership. How can someone who is injury prone , had little competitive play this season and who has a terrible disciplinary record and an attitude that sucks. I hope this decision doesn't come back and haunt you Uncle Woy. I would also leave out Henderson just because of the injury that kept him out of the last 25% of the season and take Townsend who was coming into real form and is one of the few players who can cross a ball with pace

For what it's worth. I fully agree with the view of Peter Sayer. Danny Drinkwater should be in at the expense of Jack Wiltshire and Andros Townsend in place of Jordan Henderson. In both cases, current form and match fitness dictates the Danny and Andros should be in the squad.

You would have to be mad to leave Henderson out of your midfield! The fact that he was left out in the EUFA cup final probably cost Liverpool the trophy!

Have a play and listen/read the words to Pride of England. The current match repertoire needs an uplift. For England! https://youtu.be/wpm_xFunlh8

I'd have probably gone with Wilshere and Drinkwater to be honest. Wilshere was (alongside Welbeck) our standout player of many of our early qualifiers. He's a class player, and has served Roy well, so he has earned a place. Plus he'll be fresh!

On the flip side, Barkley hasn't done it for England at all, and has been pretty poor for Everton for a while. He'd have missed out for me.

But hey ho, it is what it is - COME ON ENGLAND!
