England will face Russia, Wales and Slovakia in Euro group

Posted by Team England at 06:08 on Sunday 13 December 2015

England will meet Wales at the UEFA Euro 2016 Finals after being drawn with their neighbours in Group B.

Roy Hodgson's men will meet the Welsh in their second game of the tournament in Lens on 16 June.

Five days earlier they open their Euro challenge against Russia at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille - the same stadium where they played their first game of the 1998 World Cup.

In fact, the Three Lions appeared at all three of their venues next summer during the competition 17 years ago.

They will wrap up the group against Slovakia on 20 June in St-Etienne, where they lost on penalties to Argentina in the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, hosts France kick-off the Finals against Romania at the Stade de France on Friday 10 June.

The top two teams from all six groups, along with the four best third-placed teams, will progress to the round of 16, which will be played from 25 to 27 June.

The Final will be back at the Stade de France on 11 July.
