Play for England in Dublin & Ljubljana

Posted by Team England at 14:57 on Tuesday 26 May 2015

Are you following England to Dublin, Ljubljana, or both? Fancy putting on an England shirt to represent your country in a fan-friendly match versus Irish and Slovenian fans?

Organised by England supporters, we have been doing this since New York away in 2005, always great fun to play in an 'International' and an away match too. Supported by The FA in association with the FAI in Dublin, and the British Embassy in Ljubljana.

For Dublin we have a fan-friendly match on the Saturday afternoon, meet up early afternoon for a game at an historic Irish Amateur side ground, followed by some drinks with Irish fans.

For Ljubljana, we play on the Sunday morning with an early morning meet up, we will be playing at a Slovenian FA training ground, followed by lunch with Slovenian fans before heading off to the stadium.

If you would like to play, or to watch and join the drinks or lunch after please apply ASAP, before Monday 1 June at latest for Dublin, & Monday 8 June for Ljubljana.

Indicate CLEARLY whether you want to take part in Dublin, Ljubljana or both. For those wanting to play please provide full name, England Supporters Travel Club membership number, age and preferred playing position.

ENGLANDFANS FC MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT - REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (A)

EnglandFans FC are pleased to announce that they will be playing a fans match in Dublin, against the official fans team of Republic of Ireland, 'You Boys In Green'. The game will take place on Saturday 6th June, kick-off: 2.00pm in the shadow of Clontarf Castle. A fun-filled afternoon has been promised by our hosts, followed by a post-match get together over a few beers; the craic, as it's called in Ireland. Note how the above news item does not advise who the opposition is nor the name of the so-called 'historic' venue.

Would those fans interested in playing, please forward their name, playing position and contact details to me at the following e-mail address: garfordbeck@hotmail.com.

Kit will be provided and the venue details will be sent out nearer the time.

Those taking part in our game will not be asked to pay £5.00 to 'cover costs', as was the case for the FA/Mark Perryman promoted game in Turin, as there aren't 'costs' any to cover. Also, unlike those promoting the games covered in the above news item, I will be present at the matches.

We also have a fans match organised in Slovenia and details of that game will be published soon.

    Regards,

    Garford Beck.
