Italy v England - Important Sale Update

Posted by Team England at 15:26 on Thursday 12 February 2015

We are awaiting final confirmation from the Italian FA regarding the price of tickets for our upcoming friendly at the Juventus stadium next month.

Unfortunately, as we have yet to receive this information, this now means that the planned members sale due to take place from 12 noon tomorrow (Friday 13 February) has been postponed.

A further announcement will be made ahead of the rescheduled sale date which we expect to be within the next few days.

I reckon there is a reason for this. Italians will call the game off and we will get a last minute replacement like Gibralta. Compensation claims will take years to sort out.

what a joke this game is. firstly took the mick to even discover how many tickets we had then didn't get an allocation to fit all of the members who applied and now cannot decide on how much a ticket is? game will be called off on the day probably. I was unsuccessful in the ballot so what will happen with the second sale? JOKE

Neil Chapman, I cant believe we turned down 1000 tickets, as it is already over subscribed but i still cant understand why they would agree to less than the 2900 who had applied. I arranged Tuesday morning off to try again for a ticket but who knows when they will go on sale now

I see you deleted my post regarding voting UKIP because of the shambolic nature of Mediterranean organisational capabilities. Did it it not occur to the endemic politically correct moderators that this comment could be perceived as 'tongue in cheek' ?

Would your time not have been better spent constantly badgering the Italian FA instead of deleting spurious posts on this ghost town forum ?

A couple of observations. First - when did all these whining and complaining twats join the club? All those who seem to think our FA have any influence on the pricing of the game or the speed with which the Italians are working to decide this have obviously no understanding of how the 'Home' FA rather than the 'Away' FA arrange the match. And have probably never been to Italy before if they think things get done months in advance and with no hiccups. Also, with respect to last minute arrangements........if Teams in the Play-Off's (Euro's, World Cup's, even our own end of season Football League money-spinning/TV revenue loving promotion get-togethers) can arrange things like tickets and segregation in less than one month, and still have decent turn-outs, why are you so indignanat that this game is going to be finalised down to the smaller details in a bit more than that ? And to the last point, the reason the FA didn't ask for more than the offfered tickets - to fulfill 'demand' - is that they know from experience that NOT everyone who 'registers their interest' actually go's on to attend the match. They'd have been left holding the baby when the usual 500 or so 'time-wasters' don't take their offered tickets. That is simple finances - the Italian FA aren't going to take back any unused tickets, our FA weill have to pay for them. Experience tells us we take about 2000 people to Away games. Why demand more tickets when our FA know they won't be able to sell them ? (Probably to the sort of people that come on here complaining about the lack of information and speed of finalising the arrangements). NO-ONE should be waiting until they know the price of the tickets to book an Away trip, thats just stupid. You are either going, so have booked up, or you are one of the 500 in my book. No doubt you'll justify not taking up your offered ticket by saying you 'never had enough time to sort out flights' which is total b*ll*cks. The amount of tickets that go on '2nd sale' will show how many time-wasters we have in this campaign. Because very few people can genuinely claim that 'circumstances' have changed so drastically between registering their interest and the tickets going on sale. And It is in Italy FFS, not the end of the earth, so no excuses for problems gettign there or back. Rant over.

As one of the leading whinging twats on here do you think that you should wait until you are told you have a ticket before you book a flight,  or just book a flight, not get a ticket and go anyway and sit on your own in a bar full of Italians nursing a knife wound in your Jacksey ?
