One query on the above, if we have been unsuccesfull in the ballot and therefore actually applied for a ticket in the first place. why do we not get priority in the 2nd chance sale over those who didn't apply in the first place?

Somewhat reduces the need to apply in the 1st place!!!

It seems like a logical system to me.  If there was priority in the 2nd chance sale for those who applied in the first phase it would just encourage everyone, including those who are not sure they can attend from applying as there is no obligation to get a ticket anyway.

At the time of registration i wasn't sure if I could attend.  Now i know i can't attend.  Would you rather I had applied on the chance that I might be able to attend or not applied, knowing that if there was priority in the second stage I would have almost certainly applied in the first stage ?

Well after all the negative comments about the FA I think people need to look at the statement regarding the Italian FA.

I for 1 believe they did there best to secure us all tickets they could.

There's allways 2 sides to every story but for god sake how can you Blaime the English FA.

I got a ticket in the ballot but my friend never pisssed off. but really come on do you think they want us not going???

My he only issue I have is letting others apply after not regs a intreat

I agree with Clive. The main problem everyone highlights is the fact everyone can buy a ticket in the 2nd chance sale and not just the ones who actually applied and were unsuccessful. Apart from that, it is a fair system.

I agree Clive. If nearly 800 miss out then why open it up to those who never bothered applying. There was enough opportunity. I would only open it up to those won never applied in the first place if there was still tickets after 2nd chance sale.

I agree with Barry actually, if you didn't know any better you might be given to the impression that people join ESC just so they can feel they have the right to bash the FA regardless of the issue. Yes, the FA have made mistakes but really, what can they do if the FIGC (Italian Fed) are so uncooperative? I've said it elsewhere and I'll say it again here - this is probably why England have not played on Italian soil for so long, and will certainly be why they won't do for a long time to come after the March game.

I agree that I think unsuccessfull ballot members should have priority in the 2nd chance sale.

I also agree that the Italian FA were probably a pain in the *** to deal with.

However my concern is, should the Italians realise that theyre nowhere near selling out the ground a weel before the game and offer us those extra tickets, dear FA, dont turn the extra tickets down like you supposedly did in Estonia.

Some naïve people on here, but less and less as the membership continues to drop. I've been travelling away since 1990. Its never the FA's fault. Well, they must have the worst team of negotiators in the World. They fail to secure sufficient tickets, on almost every occasion ( 2k tickets in an away end that holds 3k in Turin). They pay over the odds and pass the cost to the fans. They hand hundreds of tickets to cronies at every tournament. If you are lucky they will overcharge on the postage then make you collect the ticket from their 5* hotel. Its because they don't give a monkey's about the travelling fan. We are cash cows for their declining club. It is time we got organised and formed an independent club that sourced tickets.

Been a member since the 1990's. I agree with Barry and Jason on this one and not Daniel. There's no conspiracy theory here. The FA are as an organisation are well out of touch, however, the fans side of it functions fairly well. If anyone cares to study the reasons behind most of the ticket allocations it's all down to security, in this respect our past record goes against us. I agree totally to signing in at away games, it makes the whole system as transparent as it can be and prevents the injustices of the past when people provided spurious travel documentation as proof that they had been at the game and gained caps/points as a result. One thing is for sure, they will never devise a system that everyone is happy with. Too much negativity on this forum and not enough realism.

Can anyone tell me if you register for tickets as a couple is it possible one of the party can be successful and the other can't. My missus has been allocated one and I haven't and before you come out with any cunning plans I have thought of them all!

Has anyone had trouble in applying as a group on the site? Three of us applied as a group and 1 has a ticket seems a bit mad.
