UPDATED: UEFA EURO 2016 qualifiers at Wembley connected by EE

Posted by Team England at 14:27 on Tuesday 26 August 2014

England will host San Marino, Slovenia and Lithuania at Wembley connected by EE, in the first three home games of the Three Lions’ UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying campaign.

Having read and listened to your comments in response to the priority ticket sale for these matches, we have decided to remove the Lithuania game from the members’ priority sale.

Tickets for the match v Lithuania will go on sale at a future date to be announced.

We fully appreciate that many of you have recently spent money on membership and travel/tickets for away games, and the imminent home game against Norway. We are also aware that tickets for the away match with Scotland will be going on sale soon.

Therefore, the members’ priority sale is now open for the following two games:

ENGLAND v San Marino - 9 October 2014

ENGLAND v Slovenia - 15 November 2014

The members’ sale period lasts until 3pm on Monday 1 September.

Oh great, could have done with this information prior to the sale starting 2 hours ago!!  I am now the proud owner of 2 pairs of Concession tickets as I assumed this would be Travel Club discount; never had this before.

So TheFA, what am I supposed to do?

    1. Thanks for listening.

    2. Try to make announcements before tickets go on sale.

    1. Why did you need to read or listen to our comments, it was obvious that we are normal people, and selling multiple matches at one time was going to cause problems for those of us who do not work for an investment bank.

    2. Why are you now withholding price information until after the sale has started, are we to assume it is because you were trying to work out how high you could price the game and get away with it.

    3. Why is the ticketmaster stadium map not accurate, same answer as [2] I suspect.

    Points to note;

    1. We are not rich investment bankers.

    2. We do not like the new caps system.

    3. I've been to a fans forum, you only did the things that cost nothing or benefited The FA or Wembley Stadium Ltd.

    4. Attendance for the Norway game is going to be very very low.

    Are we learning yet...

Still overpriced for the team's that are playing, but anyhow, it's progress from where we were 3 hours ago.

Congratulations to the morons at the FA, you figured out there was a problem all of 3 hours late and then try and rectify it after everyone has complained.

Oh and you must be rather annoyed many people have bought concession tickets when they are not really entitled to, funny how if it stings your revenue stream you start communicating out....hmmmmmmmmmm £££££££

Try engaging and communicating effectively and early on before initiating ticket sales, do your staff have internal training or are they work experience folk?

FAO Team England: I have paid 2 booking fees as your info about ringing the hotline was not published until after I bought tickets. How will you go about refunding me the difference? Thanks

Well, that's as clear as day then.  What an utterly barely comprehensible load of nonsense.

Only the FA and perhaps the Soviet Union could make a complete shambles sound like an act of thoughtful generosity.

Also, many, like me, don't have landlines so have landlines nowadays so I would have to pay full price to use your 0800 number.  Doesn't Ticketshafter's website have a "continue shopping" function so that we would only have to pay one booking fee?  Of course not, they wouldn't make as much money if they did.

By the way, at the time of writing I can't order my tickets because there is yet again a "bad gateway" - whatever that is!

This information has to be published in advance.  I could has had two of the new student concessions but had no idea when I bought the tickets!

Information published at 14:27 on Tuesday 26 August 2014 nearly 2 and a half hours after sale was supposed to start (was late starting so near 2 hours 15 mins)

    Not useful

Mind you slightly better than getting marketing e-mail nearly 6 hours after sale was due to start - also kindly informing me of the number to ring and save transaction fee!

One thing about that was that when we rang for tickets they wouldn't sell 2 kids and 5 adults as "it would leave a seat spare" and we would have to ring the FA up

A seat spare? There'll be plenty of them !!!!

They listened and people still moan,  I think they should be congratulated but yes this post with prices in could and should have been released first and easier to find. An email or Something would have been good.

Anyway the number to buy both at once, is that Ticketmaster? Anyone know their openin hours?

At least they are now doing student discounts now. However, I'll need to phone them up and see if I can amend my ticket order.

OK so I can save on postage by phoning up? First, I tried to phone and was on for ages without answer so I bought on line. Second, you then let me know that if I did decide to stay on the phone (for maybe an hour or more) I can save on the postage. A bit late that! Thirdly, unlike anyone at the FA (apparently) we all have jobs and can't spend for ever just trying to buy a couple of tickets. Fourthly, thanks for not telling us about 3rd game not being on sale. Don't worry that your paying customers might get stressed out wondering what happened to the 3rd game! And finally, when do I get my extra postage back which apparently I really didn't need to pay!
