EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Attention Eng Fans - Urgent

Day before a final and 3 people (lead bookers) I know are sitting with a ticket in their app that they can’t use due to a positive Covid PCR test but also can’t transfer. Uefa say too late for a refund and that we can’t transfer due to our membership rules!! They’re gutted enough they can’t go, but for the tickets to go to waste is disgusting. And your phone lines are not open to speak to anyone! Do you have any advice or suggestions?

    In reply to Phillip Toone:

The problem with transferring the tickets would be if the FA deem this as a breach of the T&Cs (which it would be), they could prevent Craig from buying a ticket for the final even though his reason to transfer the ticket is genuine.

We’re they tickets purchased through Eng Fans? If so, I assume they were not the lead Booker? If they were, how did they transfer?

    In reply to Shaun Godman:

Yes Shaun but we’re happy to risk that as we all have Covid PCR test results to prove we can’t go. The problem is the actually physical act of transferring the ticket when it is a lead bookers ticket.

They could download the app and use your log in? But then they risk being turned away if they are asked for ID, which is probably unlikely.

Sounds like it was not the lead bookers ticket that was transferred then. I know how to transfer others within the order, but not our own once they have been ‘kept’.

Only way to do it is to allow someone to log in to the app as the lead booker then send them the code to activate the app.

Has anyone tried the proposed solutions in this thread ? Do they work ?

    englandsupporters.thefa.com/.../16427

Regarding passing on your personal details to a total stranger, obviously that's risky. But Team England has said that they won't be checking passport numbers so maybe the recipient of the ticket could put his own passport number in.

    Sorted. Thanks for all suggestions.

David it was much simpler than that in the end. Just log out and they log in on their phone.

blogs: Tim Vickery: Gold-standard stadiums but the infrastructure looks green around the gills

Some may say that Brazil’s new 2014 stadiums have turned out to be ‘anywhere arenas,’ robbed of their local identity. It is an understandable point of view. A year on from its re-inauguration, I still can’t make my mind up about...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Shaw and Baines and the art of being comfortably No3

I’m old enough to have experienced the first-team shirt numbers as 1-11, and No3 was always the left-back. To receive that shirt at World Cup 98 was very special. There have been some greats and you can’t dwell too much on the significance...
