Not sure if you can help but I have a query regarding round of 16 match. Me and my wife were allocated tickets for the last 16 game thru ETSC. I believe the allocation was around 4,700-800 tickets as it was based on lowest capacity that England could play at (Parken stadium 38000). Based on the new capacity for this game, would all those who didn't return their tickets be pretty much guaranteed a ticket for this game? And if there were any extra tickets after group 1 has been sorted then they would go to the usual ballot.

to be honest theres better people on here with better knowledge than me..........as far as im aware nothing is guaranteed as the game was moved anyway ( well the dublin fixture ) so again its a wait and see but i think it helps your cause that you didnt withdraw your application as we are in the same boat, again we havent actually qualified yet...but id be disappointed if we didnt :)

I think it's best you look at some of the earlier responses as I don't really want to be answering multiple similar questions with little information from members. So this advice probably stands for most members:

You need to dig out how many caps you had on the previous campaign. You'll have had an email.

Then make an assumption on the capacity/allocation you think will be at the round you're concerned with (but see previous post where original allocations differed in each round for even the same venue).

Then remember whether you originally applied and/or then cancelled that specific round.

Then using the previous links in this thread you'll know which group you fall into (assuming the same ESTC group rules apply to knock out stages) and also whether that game will be affected by a member returning their ticket.

Then, assuming you fall into the first group, use the previous caps table link you'll get a good idea what allocation we need to guarantee you a ticket.

Apologies if this doesn't answer your question but it's probably best I give a more generic answer.

For the R16 and QF the people who returned their tickets are in the ballot because of the uncertainty of where we might have played and whether or not they could have gone.

Provided we get to R16 the allocation will be higher than we originally got due to it being at Wembley, the question is how is whoever we play going to sell their tickets with the quarantine requirements, unless of course they haven’t returned them like the FA have, which will mean that instead of an attendance of 45000 it’ll be 41000, and even if they have done that the allocation will be higher so there will be more tickets available for hospitality, I mean the fans.

Thanks - we fall into group 1 as we never gave up our tickets. As I understand it only those who got tickets first time round can go into the ballot if England progress to the last 16. Hence me thinking we were pretty much guaranteed tickets as long as the new allocation exceeds the old one, so why would they need a ballot for the original 4,800? I assumed there would be no 70/20/10 ballot for existing ticketholders if the game's at Wembley due to a potentially bigger allocation. Hope that makes sense. We had 12 caps so we took a punt on Cat 1 tickets and got lucky.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but is the number of caps used for the ballots your current level (mine is 18) or the level it was when Euro 2020 tickets were originally applied for?

Thanks. Unfortunately, until recently there was a problem with the FA sending me emails (they inexplicably had me on a blocked list, so I never got a March email from them). I will give them a call to find out my Euro 2020 caps level. Think I was up to 27 at one point, but I might be wrong.

This hinges on your confidence that the ESTC allocation this time i.e. a far reduced post covid allocation (albeit increased from the original rumoured rough knock out allocation) is larger than the original pre covid allocation (albeit in different, smaller stadium in some cases).

Its an assumption I'd personally love to be confident to make but couldn't.

Thanks Paul - the email that went out on April 23 does state that 'should England progress to R16 or QFs, we will conduct ballots for all members who were originally successful for tickets, regardless of whether they returned them or not'. So assume only a maximum of 4800 could go into the ballot. Anyway, we've got to win the group first!

Cheers Matthew - yes, all hinges on the allocation. If R16 at Wembley happens then hopefully we get more than the original allocation. Fingers crossed

Email was sent 11/3/21 but maybe (at this time when the ESTC team are dead busy trying to get us more tickets etc) worth you clicking on your profile and seeing how many caps you might have had?

Two caps for each match for all matches after Sep 2016.

Then add a renewal cap and then add a bonus cap if the 2018/20 campaign was at least your third consecutive campaign.
