EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Tickets on websites

Can someone explain to me how with reduced ticket allocation for all games and lots of us fans not getting all games and in some cases no games how have these websites got tickets. One site for the England v Scotland have only got 30 tickets left at £300 plus. Who do they get the tickets off?

They are all mobile tickets which have to be activated via blu tooth at the ground before entry then your app shows a QR code to enter the turnstile.
Any website claiming to have tickets is obviously fake!

Secondary ticketing sites often advertise tickets that they haven't got. Their expectation is that some people who do have tickets will, at a later date, put them on the site for sale.

UEFA is not providing paper tickets. All tickets will be downloaded to a special Euro 2020 phone app. This phone ticket needs to be activated at the stadium on match day by a steward who adds a QR code to the ticket. This can only be added to a genuine ticket downloaded via the app. It is very unlikely that secondary ticketing sites will be able to supply genuine functioning tickets for the Euro 2020 tournament. For the reasons why, see my post of 18th May at 12:33 pm on this thread.

I will never buy off an unofficial website, you don't know what you are getting.

The problem is Alexander that when fans dont get tickets thru whatever ballot, they are more likely to pay £300 to a possible 'dodgy' website who claims they have tickets, than be able to afford the disgusting £1,700 that Wembley Stadium are charging for a hospitality ticket.

I suppose it's possible that suits who got corporate sponsor's tickets might have put them up for sale. These could be paper tickets.

Also, we don't know whether UEFA will use the full anti-touting capabilities of the mobile phone ticket app. They didn't use these capabilities at the Nations League in Portugal 2019.

blogs: Sue Smith: England’s forward focus can rattle Uruguay

Before every tournament most people are guilty of thinking a bit higher of England than they probably should - me included, I thought we would beat Italy 2-0! But despite the result I think we must take lots of positives from the performance. It was great to see the players actually go for it in the match and I thought we were quite entertaining. Raheem Sterling was great - every time he got the ball he looked dangerous...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Deny Luis Suarez space and England can prevail

How do you stop Luis Suarez? The key for England will be communication and getting tighter defensively than they did against Italy. There was an uncertainty and a vulnerability to England's defence, particularly down the left, on Saturday night...

blogs: John Hemmingham: Even Balotelli’s fiancée knows this band on the run

There is no better place to be as the leader of England’s band than at a World Cup in Brazil – but the one downside is we don’t know if we’ll be allowed to play inside the stadiums! This country has two loves, music and football...

blogs: Adrian Bevington: The connection between England’s players and fans at a World Cup cannot be overestimated

Even now I can recall it perfectly. Lucio stumbled and miscontrolled when heading towards his own goal, and Michael Owen seized the moment. I knew at that point, in Shizuoka in 2002, that Michael would score. And I have to confess that at that moment I really did think we are going to win the World Cup. It is an emotion that takes over you, and although it didn’t turn out to be correct, one of the great pleasures...
