If it’s a priority sale for ESTC members, surely there’s enough tickets allocated for us, before a general sale? Any leftover from our sale would then pass on. So approx 25k open to us in this period?

Yep so no panic. We will still get the cheaper tickets over the 3 to 4 days. Just that it is a pain to buy with all these errors.

Just got on lunch and it says "over an hour wait" for tickets, guess the cheaper ones will be gone by the time I get chance to buy this evening frustratingly

Is it time to use sale windows done by caps for home games now.
It’s becoming harder to see any major benefits now apart from away tickets of course.
The big plus used to be the £25 home end tickets and now it’s becoming a lottery to get them

TBF it was an extra plus introduced after the system started. The big plus is the £5 reduction anywhere in the stadium.

    You'll get a ticket. It's whether you can get a £25 ticket. There aren't 25k of those.

    Absolutely right Doug

There certainly is a rush if you want a Home End £25.

These were sold out for the last game before the members sale ended (by the end of the first day I think).

There were then some £35? ones released but not before some has already paid more than that.

This isn't correct unless more £25 home tickets are allocated than the last sale (as they sold out, I'm almost certain, on the first day).

Sounds like some problems this morning. One of group is a senior and it always assigns that to the person who's logged in - which isn't always correct. Not an issue, so long as the FA don't make an issue of it!

No tickets offered at £25. Had to paid £30 for a East Level 5 for 4 tickets. It says that a benefit of membership is: "As a member of the England Supporters Travel Club, you'll receive priority access and discount to England home tickets etc etc. So I consider this to be a breach of conditions. Same issues as everyone else, got in at 12:15 where it told me no tickets on sale for the event, refreshed & then managed to secure tickets 6 times over in different blocks. Every time I pressed ‘pay’ it sent me back to the ticketing homepage.

Finally got through and secured a pair after switching from WiFi to 4G on my phone.

    The usual Ballache.

The thing is you've got both. The £30 tickets were discounted. There isn't a guarantee of £25 tickets hence the rush and website issues.

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: adaptability and focus will be key on the Manaus pitch

I’ve played on some shocking pitches in my time – I remember playing for Chelsea in ‘the battle of Stamford Beach’ against Charlton back in 2003 and the condition of the surface can often play into your favour if you’re the home side. There may be a slight advantage for the South and Central American sides, but for England against Italy it is a level playing field – pardon the pun...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Italy’s tropical trials could lend a hand to England

A few days ago I was on the Rio underground when someone came up to me to give me his World Cup predictions. He recognised me from my appearances on Brazilian TV, and he wanted to tell me that there were two teams that were going to spring a surprise in the World Cup: France, and England. Many in Brazil lost patience with England after South Africa 2010. The feeling over here before that tournament was that England...

blogs: David Stone: Not even the mighty Amazon can hold us back

I've been back in England for a few days now and had the chance to reflect on what was yet another cracking away trip with the Three Lions. The Honduras game, as many predicted, was a very tough affair with the referee offering England limited protection against some rather nasty tackles. The result, while disappointing, did not particularly matter to be honest. It was far more important that England had a good...

blogs: Tim Vickery: Protests vie with World Cup feelgood for centre stage in Brazil

Last Sunday I commentated on the match between Italy and Brazilian club side Fluminense, staged in Volta Redonda, a hundred miles or so outside Rio. The match kicked off at 5.30pm in the afternoon. I arrived at the ground six hours earlier - and already there were plenty of supporters gathering. Many of them were Fluminense fans. Others had Italian affiliations. But lots had come (and at the equivalent of nearly £30...
