People saying this won't be popular are forgetting all the ex pats that we have in the Middle East/Asia/Australia. Any England fan living there surely would be dying to go?

I was also very impressed to see so many European based England fans in the Stadia Olympica on Saturday night!

"Will I get caps for home World Cup qualifiers?"

    >> You get 2 Caps for each qualifier and friendly you purchase a ticket for and attend.

"..can you tell me when home Wembley tickets go on sale for qualifiers?"

    and

"When do home games for World Cup qualifiers go on sale?"

If you're signed up to the FA website and a member of the ESTC, you'll receive emails letting you know when you can apply for these matches. As an ESTC card holder, you'll get first dibs plus a £5 per ticket discount.

All this info is on the FA/ ESTC website.

As an expat living in Qatar, I will create a Q&A post once the Euros is done and dusted as I’m sure there will be lots of questions (not just about where to drink and stay!)

Ben, I wouldn’t be too sure of any other question topics! Actually here’s one, is that space age museum near the airport now open. I saw it mid-build and it looked very bizarre!

Anyone else thinking that certain games in Qatar will now be on a lot more people's radars?

I.e. After so many suggesting all matches will be undersubscribed?

I’ve a feeling that it’s more a question of how much you may need to pay for tickets, as opposed to whether you may or not be able to get them; With zero caps, my son and I still managed to secure tickets to all the group games, plus semi final and final, back in the original Euro 2020 sale round.
However, they were all Category 1 tickets - hence having to pay a hefty premium (£000’s) more than those loyal members who qualified for fans first or category 3 (quite rightly so).

I suspect a similar situation would be in play for Qatar.

    In reply to Carl Padley:

Good points: slightly shorter length tournament, 4 games a day, furthest stadium away from Doha is only 50km, Doha metro, perfect weather (for fans anyway), can stay in same place for duration of stay, can now can fly in and out from Bahrain, UAE & Oman,
Not so good: close to Christmas, cost of flights at peak season, accommodation (are those cruise ships going to materialise?), ticket price (cheapest at Russia was $105), beer price (perhaps fan zones will be cheaper than the usual £10/pint)
I am sure our resident ex-pat in Qatar will be a popular man to contact in the coming 14 months!

One huge advantage of Qatar is that it might exclude some of absolute bellends that come out of the woodwork every couple of years as 'England supporters'.

I am sure Euro 2020 will result in a fair few newbies signing up to the club but unlikely many will travel next year. However, maybe a few more existing members who originally were not going to travel next year may have changed their mind.
I expect the group games will be very easy to get tickets where as nobody will want to miss out on a potential semi & final, even if that means flying in for just a few days.

    In reply to Richard Charlesworth:

Richard, i.e. accommodation, I’ve been advising people that there will soon be an online platform (like Air BnB) where landlords have been asked to sign up with their empty apartments, villas etc). I believe this will be the best and cheapest accommodation option.

As for drink, there was a fan park set up for the 2019 CWC (when Liverpool came) so it was set up as a test event for the WC. Pints there were £5

    In reply to Ben Williams:

Thanks for the info Ben. £5 is "cheap" compared with Wembley! One consolation from yesterday is that fewer people will join the bandwagen and (hopefully) tickets will be plentiful for those that travel. As Matt mentions above, fewer d1cks as well.
