Taken the risk and got a ticket for the semi final at 16.30. Have to say website is rubbish as tells you matches are sold out, then if you refresh occasionally that there are tickets, then when you try and buy there aren’t. Must have tried 50 times before a ticket actually went into my basket and purchase

Just keep trying, I expect EUFA will drip feed tickets. I went on the site on Monday and numerous times it seemed to offer tickets, and when I choose one it wasn’t available. Did same today numerous times. One minute showing sold out, next showed tickets, sometimes allowed me to choose a ticket , then said no longer available.

I think UEFA will try and sell more of the expensive tickets (Cat 1/2) before Saturday's game just in case England go out. They did this ahead of the Germany game.
You can of course hedge the cost of the ticket by betting on Ukraine to qualify at around 5 or 6/1(heresy I know),

Typical uefa...releasing tickets when im at Wimbledon !. Seems a massive risk to buy such expensive tickets with no guarantee of England. You guys planning on going to the game anyway, as not sure how many people would be buying them if we dont get there.

blogs: Tim Vickery: Gold-standard stadiums but the infrastructure looks green around the gills

Some may say that Brazil’s new 2014 stadiums have turned out to be ‘anywhere arenas,’ robbed of their local identity. It is an understandable point of view. A year on from its re-inauguration, I still can’t make my mind up about...

blogs: Graeme Le Saux: Shaw and Baines and the art of being comfortably No3

I’m old enough to have experienced the first-team shirt numbers as 1-11, and No3 was always the left-back. To receive that shirt at World Cup 98 was very special. There have been some greats and you can’t dwell too much on the significance...

blogs: Mark Wright: England at the World Cup is an amazing, powerful time

I've got so many memories of watching England - I don't know where to start! But I can always remember when the World Cup was on in 1998 and Michael Owen first played. I had the videotape of the tournament back then and used to watch it religiously...

blogs: Tim Vickery: The marvels and the madness of the Brazil I know

Back in 1969, Charlie Croker and his team pulled off the Italian job, sneaking $4 million through a traffic jam. Forty five years later, well into their retirement, Charlie and the boys may well want to cross the Atlantic to follow England’s World...
