UEFA EURO 2020

Additional Tickets Secured for Czech Republic

We are pleased to announce that we have managed to obtain an additional allocation of tickets from UEFA for Czech Republic v England which takes place on Tuesday 22 June 2021.

Due to the short space of time between now and the match taking place, the sale will operate on a first-come-first-served basis to ensure all tickets are sold.

The ballot will be conducted using the 70/20/10% rule, however, more members will be given access to the sale than the number of tickets we have available to ensure that all remaining tickets are purchased.

Those who are successful in the ballot will be sent an email no later than 8pm on Saturday 19 June stating that they have been successful in the ballot.

Successful members will then be sent their access code, on Sunday 20 June,  once the sale opens.

The sale will run from 11am on Sunday 20 June until all tickets are sold out, via UEFA's Ticketing Website.

Please be aware that you will only receive an email about the ballot if you have been successful.

If you have not received an email by 10pm on Saturday 19 June then, unfortunately, you have not been successful

.

Please be aware this ballot is for Czech Republic only and an access code is not a guarantee of a ticket.

Well theres an hour I’m not getting back. No joy after a mind numbing hour of trying.

I think I preferred the minor disappointment of the unsuccessful ballot emails over recent weeks than this shambles.

As an aside, it’s utterly ridiculous that Slovakia v Spain is still available when the game is in Seville. No doubt the Spaniards will go on to win the competition and BBC news will be leading on ‘this football mad country’ again.
General rant now over- I will cool lagers between now and Tuesday and try to enjoy it on the telly.

The biggest mistake here is when ESTC asked UEFA 'so you are sure your systems can cope with a sudden surge in demand?' to which the reply was 'Oh yes, here at UEFA we have the finest dial-up connection in the whole of Switzerland....'

Seriously, past experience of this shoddy UEFA portal was enough warning for me to know that this was going to happen, so why didn't those in charge know it was going to happen along with subsequent backlash.

As a genuine suggestion to ESTC, who have actually done fantastic up until now in securing additional tickets and distributing them as fairly as they can in the circumstances. If this situation arises again for knockout games, why can't you arrange with UEFA to drip feed the release of the access codes over the course of the day - if you had issued first 300 at 11am, another 500 at 12, another 500 at 1, etc. It would ensure the integrity of the 70/20/10 ballot and caps system is observed, and prevents a surge on the website with people being chucked out in the middle of their orders....

So I spent £75 to be a member of the England Travel club and effectively all I got was a chance to be in a lottery with a 1 in 4 chance of buying a ticket. Never even got the membership card sent to me. Had enough caps to get 3 cat 3 tickets for the group games. Appreciate Covid is big problem but to give the access code to 2800 when only 753 tickets was a big mistake

Yep, mess. How can the ETSC justify sending that many email outs so it overloaded the website again. 5/10% maybe, but 4x the number is a joke.

    In reply to Lee Andrews:

I believe for the R16 and QF, the tickets will go to all those who were originally successful regardless of whether they returned them or not in which case, everyone might secure one as they only sold 4800 to ESTC members so with the higher capacity if at at Wembley for R16, those originally successful should not need to go into a ballot.

Did they give the access code to 2800 members? The way I read the email was the 2800 were how many that were in the ballot on Saturday and that number was whittled down.
Otherwise what was the point of ballot on Saturday?

2800 got the successful email for the 750 or so tickets. It seems a bit extreme, surely 1000 getting an email would have been fine?

All members who were part of ‘group 1’ I believe. I don’t think englandfans have told us how many were in the ballot, but they specifically stated that 2800 access codes were sent out.

From the link on the original post on this thread:

The number of eligible members who will be given an access code will be 2,800

I'm pretty sure I read that the knockouts will be the same, there will be no priority for top cappers when buying tickets on the portal...just a free for all. Hopefully the FA read these comments and change it.

    In reply to Clarke Buckeridge:

If we win the group and the R16 is at Wembley, there were only 4800 tickets sold to ESTC members originally so with the proposed higher capacity, in theory, everyone who originally had a ticket should get one automatically and there may even be an additional thousand or so to ballot to the previously unsuccessful members.
