EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Additional Tickets Secured for Czech Republic

We are pleased to announce that we have managed to obtain an additional allocation of tickets from UEFA for Czech Republic v England which takes place on Tuesday 22 June 2021.

Due to the short space of time between now and the match taking place, the sale will operate on a first-come-first-served basis to ensure all tickets are sold.

The ballot will be conducted using the 70/20/10% rule, however, more members will be given access to the sale than the number of tickets we have available to ensure that all remaining tickets are purchased.

Those who are successful in the ballot will be sent an email no later than 8pm on Saturday 19 June stating that they have been successful in the ballot.

Successful members will then be sent their access code, on Sunday 20 June,  once the sale opens.

The sale will run from 11am on Sunday 20 June until all tickets are sold out, via UEFA's Ticketing Website.

Please be aware that you will only receive an email about the ballot if you have been successful.

If you have not received an email by 10pm on Saturday 19 June then, unfortunately, you have not been successful

.

Please be aware this ballot is for Czech Republic only and an access code is not a guarantee of a ticket.

If this is how they do it for the knock out stages, there will be a riot ie if there are 5000 tickets and they allow 10000 to buy them because as others have said, where’s the benefit of being a higher capper.

Was just about to write this on another thread. I had a ticket for Dublin, obviously that’s been cancelled. If it’s a free for all like the groups I’m not sure I’ll even bother.

I missed out too as the system crashed as I entered my details. You can bet your life I had opted for a Category 1 ticket that wouldn't have happened. The tickets should have initially been made to those of us who are the high cappers and originally had the tickets. Gutted!

Caps are meant to be an opportunity to buy a ticket. Not a chance to have a chance. Doing it for others with decent level of caps - three games tried, three fails. There has to be a better way.

Understand your reasoning here but in affect this is the third sale for these tickets with the ESTC team also securing more tickets on top of those not bought by members in the first and second sales.

Coupled with the tight timescales the straight ballot (remembering that the first sale was done purely on the 70/20/10 rules and ended up with over 40% of tickets in some Czech cats not being purchased) probably wasn't feasible as again there would have been members who wouldn't have purchased.

Hopefully the greater timescales mean that the first sale in each of the knock outs reverts to a ballot and sale in the first instance.

Either way it's loads of work for the ESTC team.

    In reply to Lee Andrews:

In retrospect, I’m guessing if the R16 game is at Wembley and they up the capacity to 50% as has been proposed by the Govt, everyone who had a R16 should in theory get one because they only sold around 4800 to ESTC members and presumably, there would be closer to 6000 available at 50% capacity so they may even ballot members who didn’t have original tickets for the extra 1200.

Or maybe I’m being ridiculously optimistic.

The most gutting thing is that my family had tickets to all three group games! Now my daughter has a Cat 2 ticket for Tuesday and I was waiting to pay and got kicked out!!

Category didn’t matter. I went Cat 1, had entered details and hit continue at 11:03 only to see my order ‘abandoned’ by UEFA’s website.

The root cause of course is the way the ESTC have over allocated “successful” ballots.

I’d like to think I that this would be the case but I fear it won’t be. I thought I read someone about those who handed back tickets or were unsuccessful they would be re-entered in to the ballot regardless.

Allocating 2800 people for 753 tickets is just wrong. Maybe have a small over allocation but this is nearly 4 times. Or send out the codes over a few hours starting with those on highest caps. That way everything is sold out but caps mean something.

Exactly. Please can ESTC confirm why so many extra successfull ballot emails 2800 made available versus the number of tickets vailable? 3 of us on phone together all logged in at same time. Entered code. Wasn’t accepted. Kept trying. Seconds later accepted. For another person it just was hung. Tried to buy tickets those that got straight in 11.02. 3 choices. Picked cat 1. Said sold out when in cart to pay. Other person tried cat 2. Same issue. Absolute joke. Wasted Father’s Day trying and waiting in. Surely ESTC only needed have Tiny % extra ballot people. Coupled with UEFFA woeful ticket portal performance what a waste of time. Would have preferred to have just been told not successful and not waste 2 hours of my day.

Caps were used the normal way in the first(and second) ballot.  You look as if you've done loads of hard miles and are a top capper so you should have been allocated a ticket in those phases mate?

Caps again were used to allow entry into this third phase. Albeit on a fastest finger phase.

I've edited my first response above to include the bit about non take of tickets in the first couple of phases too.

Genuinely hope you get sorted before Tues.

    Good luck
