EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Covid testing before game.

I have ticket for the CZ game on Tuesday.

Does anyone know if I will be able to get Covid test Monday morning, and get results back in time for the game next day?

The test which is required is the lateral flow test, also known as the rapid antigen test. You can get a free pack of self-test kits from the chemist so you can do the test at home. After you've read the instruction booklet, it takes less than 5 minutes to do the test and the result is 30 minutes later. You must report the result of the test to a government website which is in the booklet. They send you a text confirming your covid status a few moments later and it is that text which you have to show at the Wembley ticket check.

You can self test right up to kickoff on Tues.

Familiarise yourself with the procedure and come back with any questions.

Hi David, Did mine last night around 10pm and text came through shortly after. Only confirms I took the test yesterday (doesn’t confirm time). I take it they go by the time the text and emails came through which was around 10.20pm last night which is within timeframes.

The only way the stewards could tell the time of the covid test is by the time stamp of the confirming text. So, yes, you will be fine. Anyone who did/does their test after 5 pm yesterday (Sunday) will be OK.
