UEFA EURO 2020

Entry Conditions for Wembley

Has anything been announced yet regarding the entry conditions for Wembley?

I haven't seen anything about the requirement for Covid tests etc. I am expecting it to be the same conditions as for the Riverside with home lateral flow tests being accepted but given that we are only a week away from the tournament starting it would be good to get some clarity.

    In reply to Stephen Haslam:

The little card that they give you at the vaccination centre would not be accepted. However, as an alternative to getting your vaccination status on your phone, it is possible to get a hard copy document through the post by ringing a certain number. The problem is that it wouldn't reach you in time for Sunday's match.

This video is very good and tells you how to set up the NHS app.

    www.youtube.com/watch;ab_channel=NHSDigital

I don't think it's critical if you didn't know your NHS number or you put your National Insurance number in by mistake. This wasn't a mandatory input item. Just follow through the rest of the process and things should be OK.

I'm not a brilliant one for gadgets either. I was OK taking a picture of my driving licence as I do use my phone to take photos. But I hardly ever take selfies or videos so I had to do some head scratching and messing about to find out how to film myself saying a random number. The wife thought I had lost my marbles.

Good luck having another go tomorrow.

    In reply to Stephen Haslam:

Stephen, do persevere with the online application with the photo and selfie video.

I started my NHS app process just last evening (Tues); agreed, the video part is a bit fiddly and weird.

I submitted the application and I was told it could take 7 (or more) days to activate.

But I had an email this morning (just 12 hours overnight) that my application had been accepted. I've logged on the NHS App and my vaccination record is viewable.

    Extra tips:
    1. If you cannot see the edges of your passport photo page on your smartphone photo, it can be rejected, losing you valuable time.

    2. Make sure you're in a quiet, well-lit room for the video (I used our bathroom).

If you're not happy with the quality of your initial pictures, don't worry - you are given the opportunity to redo the photo and the video selfie; if in doubt, repeat to get clearer images.

    Good luck! :)

    In reply to Richard Williams:

Many thanks to both David and Richard for the advice re setting up the NHS app.
I was hoping that this morning all the fiddling around last night trying to set up the app, would be cleared from my smart phone's memory, allowing me to start from scratch and therefore able to insert the correct NHS number, a much easier task than the photo and video. I have spoken to someone who, having inserted the NHS number, got the two vaccination details of Covid in their app within seconds.
Unfortunately, it is still the same problem: I start to go through the procedure of setting up the app but it jumps past the screen allowing me the option of printing my NHS number, and takes me to the screen requiring photo and video etc., without allowing me the first option of the NHS number.
I keep disabling (wiping out) the NHS icon in order to restart the process, but when I commence the procedure it reappears again on my phone. This seems to suggest that it is retaining what I am doing each time in its memory. I therefore wonder if something like a full 24 hours is required before restarting the procedure for setting up the app.
Due to this problem, I wonder if there is a way of clearing the app's memory as well as disabling the app's icon? Otherwise I suppose I will just have to wait until this time tomorrow, when 24 hours will have elapsed, and then hopefully have a clear run with all past details erased from my phone's memory.

You have to provide identity evidence by means of photographing your passport or photocard driving licence and by doing the inane video. This is not something you are being asked to do because you got the NHS number wrong. You have to do it anyway, even if you got the NHS number right. As the NHS number is not a critical part of the data input, the system is just skipping that and taking you to the next step. Follow the process from where the app asks for a photograph until the end and see whether the registration is successful.

I think this will work. But, if it doesn't, you can uninstall the app and then install it again.

Sorted out the NHS app eventually (only took 90 minutes)
It shows I had the first Covid Inoculation in January but not showing the second one I had in April. Back to the drawing board.
    I love technology aaaggghhh.

I've taken a photo of my passport and it's in the Gallery app of my smart phone.
How do I send this over to the NHS or do I somehow attach it to the completed answers in the NHS app?
I suppose there will be the same procedure when I have to do the video.
I know there is the option of uploading the photo but I have never quite grasped this method of uploading and downloading. I have previously sent photos to other people by attaching their email address but I don't see one for the NHS.
    Thanks again.

This is very unlikely to be a problem with the app. It's much more likely to be that the second vaccination was not properly added to your medical record. I'm not sure how to get this fixed.

Go to 2:15 on that video. There's a 'radio button' which you can click to upload a photo. What happens next I don't know because I clicked the other radio button. I would guess there's a 'browse your gallery option' so you can find and select the photo you've previously taken.

Alternatively, at 2:15, if you click the other option, 'take a photo now', and go to the next screen (2:21) it says 'Open camera'. If you click that and then take a photo, the app automatically receives the photo.

    In reply to David Lilley:

Thanks David and I had done exactly as you described by clicking 2:15 on the video and then next screen (2:21) to click "Open Camera". I clicked that and took the photo and it came up "OK" on the Gallery screen.
So if that is now on my app for the NHS to inspect and hopefully confirm it as suitable, should I not be able to see it somewhere on the app?
I now have to do the video but there in no "continue" button to lead me on to this screen as I would have expected.
If I go back to the start it just takes me through the whole procedure again without leading me into the video screen.

If there is no button taking you to the next step in the process then I don't know what to suggest other than contacting the NHS app helpline. To the question 'What are you contacting us about?' click 'Registration problem'.

I finally got through the passport photograph stage and then onto the video section. This is the same problem, I recite the numbers but it doesn't take me any further. Whether I click on "OK" or wait, it still takes me back to the beginning of the registration process. Annoying because there only remains the final few questions to answer, such as name, post code etc. before completion.
Anyway, I have contacted the NHS app helpline as you suggest, and await their reply.
Thanks to David and Richard for all your help and hopefully the end is in sight.

I just downloaded the app and put my NHS number etc on it and done passport photo and video selfie too(I done the number in sign language. I’m glad there is options for that to be honest) then received the email about 10 minutes later. I will check the app later to see what’s on there etc. Seems working fine without any problems.
