So after UEFA having £2.500 of my money for 18 months, i have now lost all my tickets, unlikely with 16 active and 32 total caps to get any again. only away games were the nations league, so I reckon my families only chance is in the last 10% rule. As I said last year, they should have returned the money then and re-ballot , instead, they've held on to the money , and we are now told hold our breath for tickets. I do get it, Its understandable, trying to make the best of an incredibly difficult scenario, but should have happened a year ago . We have been hanging out for this event, and now back to zero tickets for the euros whilst uefa have held onto a hell of a lot of money to end up with watching it on the telly. Really fed up! nick whiles point below is spot on
"then does that mean that as mid-level cappers who have gone the distance for two years we now have the same chance of getting tickets as someone who just won tickets in the ballot for UEFA General Sale?" this is not right. we've followed England , not just coming in for the big games but travelled mid week across the country to get to games so that we can be here. Needs a review, and quickly

I think it’s been handled well to be fair, speaking as someone who got a ticket for every game but won’t fall into the top 70%. The disappointing part being the low number off tickets while UEFA & corporate retain a big portion.
The only other thing maybe The FA could establish is the actual criteria for attending matches (I.e do you need to of had both jabs?)
This could save a lot of effort and misfortune

I just wanted to say well done to the ESTC for their update. Things are clearly complicated and this necessitated a comprehensive update. But it is clear and well thought through. And a very helpful explanation, for example, of why it was necessary to cancel all tickets (and process refunds) and then re-run the ballot. I can't fault, in terms of fairness, the approach taken.

Yes, we all want the FA to do everything in their powers to secure more tickets from UEFA. But, given the hand they've been dealt, I think the ESTC has done a very good job.

    In reply to Ian Costain:

    Indeed Ian

They could have taken a lot easier route (for them) which would have disadvantaged their members.

As it is they've proposed solutions (hopefully should we progress) that mean lots of work for them both now and between matches.

They sometimes get criticised for not appearing to be doing much (I've seen isolated instances of this criticism on here in the last 24 hours) but it's always abundantly clear to a lot of us they're doing stacks of work behind the scenes preparing for this sort of thing.

Fingers crossed they don't get too many daft questions on the back of people half reading the latest announcement.

I wonder if the following UEFA statement means all FMT tickets post group stages will go to national supporters clubs??

Importantly, the quota of Follow My Team tickets for the knockout stage matches will remain reserved for fans of the qualified teams, which will (subject to the rules of the respective fan clubs) still give them the opportunity to purchase tickets at a later stage, should their team progress and should travel restrictions permit them to reach the match venue at short notice.

This is the bit that I find interesting, why change the methodology for completing the ballot for different stages? Surely it should be the same for all games.

As the group matches are all in this country and England are definitely in them, the FA will have reasoned that anybody who submitted their tickets to UEFA for a refund must have done so because they genuinely couldn't go or they could no longer afford it. In this case, there's no point in including these members in the ballots for the reduced allocation.

For the R16 and QF, members with tickets don't know how they will be affected in June / July by host country entry restrictions such as self-isolation / quarantine. The same uncertainty applies on return to the UK. So, ticket holders might travel and then find that they can't attend the match (or the next match) because they're isolating. The FA may have reasoned that many members will have submitted tickets for refund when they really wanted to go to the match because they couldn't take this risk. With the ballots for the R16 / QF now taking place in June / July when we qualify for that match, the venue and the coronavirus restrictions will be known. Members who have already surrendered their tickets to UEFA may then wish that they hadn't. So, the decision has been made to include them in the ballots for the knock out rounds.

FMT tickets were only ever offered to national supporters clubs. There are no 'general public' FMT tickets.

I’m pretty sure it’s 4 home & 2 away. The latter is especially harsh on junior members unless you’re going to take your kids out of school. My lad is on 30+ caps, 1 away game and chances are now falls into the 10% ballot.

    In reply to David Lilley:

So, we know at this stage that only those who already had tickets will be in the ballots.
Those who are unsuccessful will be placed on a list and contacted if and when tickets become available.
By the time June comes round the capacity may increase, and I’m sure there will be allocations from Croatia and Czech Republic that will have been returned. Also travel restrictions may put them off. ESTC will no doubt lobby for some of these.
I may be being optimistic, however, I can only see Scotland taking up their full allocation for the group games.
By the time the R16 comes round in theory capacity can increase, and there’s talk of a full house or at least 50% for the final.
I’m open minded. Let’s see what happens but on balance I think ESTC have got it right.

    In reply to Andrew Dixon:

Probably a realistic guess as to what might happen. People (like me) who had 7 tickets but are outside the 70% & 20% may be disappointed now but we all knew that if you reduce a capacity by 75% your likely going to lose out at least 75% of your tickets. I think we could pick up a fair few tickets closer the time. At least it’s based on logic and you know your in the hat.

    In reply to Ian Mays:

I agree Ian, where I do have a gripe is that all week UEFA have been saying that ‘Football is for the fans’, however, are missing a magnificent opportunity to prove it. UEFA really needs to take an inward look and review their ticket allocation policies to ensure fans get more allocations for major finals etc because to them it’s about maximising revenue...
