If we hang on to our tickets.....and then can't attend because of various reasons..like behind closed doors etc

Then surely the only way we can lose all our money,if all games are purchased....is if England get to the final.

Usually the semi final and final tickets are the most expensive...accounting for a good chunk of the money paid.

It woulbd be the first time I would be wanting us knocked out early!

I totally agree with you that it is unfair to ask us to make a decision when they have yet to make a decision on how the tournament will proceed. This affects all supporters everywhere so I'm hoping that supporter federations get together and challenge the fairness of the T&Cs, of the refund policy, in court. To me it is totally unfair to rule out a refund if the country of venue is changed,
Personally I have returned the round of 16 and Qtr final as I think there may be quarantine requirements if travelling between countries, I'm hopeful that if the vaccine roll out is as extensive as planned, and the vulnerable groups have that protection, the number of infected persons requiring hospitalisation will be dramatically reduced (90% of deaths are people aged 65+). This could well enable a lot of lockdown restrictions to be lifted.

    In reply to Andrew Lareen:

I can understand people's concerns and why they might be considering refunds but unless you really need the money, I wouldn't recommend returning the Round of 16/QF tickets if you're basing it on the possibility of travel/quarantining difficulties because if our vaccine starts to significantly reduce infection rates, there's a possibility those matches may come to the UK even if it's with reduced stadium capacities.

UEFA summit takes place in March where a lot of things may be ruled in/out,how significantly will Covid infection and death rate fall by then, will it fall enough to be kept as a host city, with fans?

Not with any certainty, but how long can they leave it without making a definite decision, there’s lots of logistics involved with the broadcasters and national teams!

thats what I mean... my understanding is there making a decision on or around the 5th of march 50% 20-30% or no crowds with all the variants of the virus ....vaccine amounts here and abroad ...

just points to no crowds or in another place Russia maybe

Which makes the Jan 26th cut off point for refunds ludicrous,it’s a great shame,if it was down to me I’d postpone the Euro’s again and sacrifice the Qatar World Cup!

it's a mess. my common sense assumption is that you may only be allowed to attend (and certainly travel abroad) if you are vaccinated, which for me and my son isn't going to happen before June/July! if they do allow some fans, how on earth are they going to prioritise who goes? Those who paid the most so they lose less!?

Does anyone know yet if you have to cancel all of your tickets or could you just cancel certain games?
My current thinking is to cancel them all and be done with it :(
Even though my wife and I are in our 60’s our circumstances are such that our current estimated call up for the first jab is early June!
My thinking is that there are too many unknowns at this time and just the one known which is that if you cancel you can get your money back in February which seems the right choice for me.
I’ve attended games at Home Park in the Covid restricted scenario and the entire experience (including recent results) has been awful :( Some fans have been turned away at the point of entry with no redress just because of a slightly high temperature. Could you imagine rocking up in Baku etc and being turned away at the turnstile in such a manner.
Football is a big part of my family life yet in the great scheme of things it’s not that important especially when so many are dying....

If there are any active FSF members on here,it would be an idea perhaps to engage the those at the top of that organisation as to what stance/activity they will take!

    They're on it!

    Email today:

UEFA consider pandemic ramifications on Euro 2020 tickets

UEFA have begun work on a range of potential scenarios, ranging from full stadiums to behind-closed-door games, including changes in venues, and have been contacting ticket holders to let them know about the potential changes. We have been in touch with our friends at Football Supporters Europe, who are co-ordinating a continent-wide response on behalf of fans .

Solidarity!! It's clearly not just us who are going to be fcuked up by the whole scenario, so the full weight of supporters organisations are likely to be thrown at this.

    In reply to Matthew Isle:

Thank you Matthew... so, we’ve now taken the emotion and negativity out of our decision making process and based our final decision (pending any further information forthcoming) on nothing but economics.
More than half of our cost of tickets for 2 people is for the semi final and final, which will be refunded if we don’t qualify. Therefore based on our reckoning that we won’t reach those dizzy heights we’ve decided not to request a refund and gamble on attending the tournament if at all possible. If it works out then fine but if there’s no tournament with paying fans then we’ll be refunded in any case (we hope!).
