EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

Reimburse the money asap for the euros tickets

Just read that UEFA intends to keep the money and tickets till next year. Not an option in my book. Yes I would still love to go next year with the family all the way to the final with England  … but no idea whether I will have the funds available given the nightmare few months ahead. Big work worries as I'm sure there are for many of us.  They should reimburse now and review next year based on caps as before. we cannot make decisions now on such a lot of money.. we should be given the option to re-apply when we have got through the next few months and hopefully have some money left. Regardless of your view, best wishes to everyone getting through this mess

Yes it's a pretty strong hint that some venues could change to smaller ones. For those matches, if they have sold so many tickets that they need to cancel some, who do they pick on - general sales purchasers or country FA allocations? The former might be least complicated.

    Absolutely.
With all good intentions a vaccine for COVID-19 could be mass produced around second half of 2021.
Therefore, after all the hard work that countries are now putting in to combat the pandemic, you would not want fans to descend on your country in June 2021 without thinking about what the consequences would be.
The UK government must consider this also before reaffirming their commitment to hold semis and the final.
Social distancing may carry on one way or the other till we have something to cure “this monster”.

I can see England & Wales hosting the tournament outright come next summer, in a joint effort.

My thoughts too chris like Abraham says they won’t risk people traveling too all the host countries in 2021 . So logic would say have it in 1 or maybe 2 countries .. also I doubt some countries would be willing to host it now .. and you carnt blame them .. it’s a hard one really difficult times maybe no one will want too host it or it might be cancelled

A good chunk of the 12 stadiums will already have contracts signed for gigs in 2021 the owners/operators will not be able to get out of. I would say Wembley is one in this position. This could take some time to sort out and potentially new venues will be needed.

The Daily Mail has had something to say about this.

If a fan has a conditional ticket to a knock out round and his team does not reach that round then there is a refund of the ticket price due from UEFA after the tournament is over. UEFA stipulated that the payment card used to pay for the ticket(s) should not expire before August 2020 so that the refund could automatically be credited to the same card. There are going to be a lot of payment cards expiring between August 2020 and August 2021. No doubt, UEFA will come up with a plan for refunding these fans. But it will likely involve each affected fan having to provide their bank details or details of another card. It could be a long process getting everybody's refunds sorted out.
