EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

12000 tickets max?

What are supporters travel club members thoughts on the allocations we'll receive for each game?

How does this compare with previous tournaments?

Firstly, it's not 12000 tickets maximum - it's 12000 minimum. This UEFA webpage suggests that there will be more tickets available.

    www.uefa.com/.../0257-0e199847604f-7ae96e0bad32-1000--euro-2020-tickets-to-go-on-sale-to-fans-of-qualified-teams

For Wembley group matches they are suggesting 28000 tickets for fans of participating teams. Half this means 14000 for England fans. Take off 1000 for the FA 'football family' and that still leaves 13000. Also, if our opponents do not sell their full allocation then you can bet that the FA will be lobbying hard for the 'spares' to be re-allocated to England.

This allocation for group matches is more than we've had at previous tournaments.

For the Round of 16 and quarter finals, if we halve the figures and knock off 1000 this gives 5000 tickets available. That's more than Euro 2016 for the R16 but the same as Euro 2016 for the quarter finals.

The ticket allocations for the semi-final and final are much more generous than for Euro 2016.

Most members will have a good chance of tickets, provided they are flexible over the choice of ticket category.

Thanks for the response David. You seem very knowledgable on these matters. Do you work with the FA? Or maybe just a super fan!?

We're very, very fortunate to have David on this forum.

He's been a lynchpin of well crafted, well meant and well researched answers for the past few years.

His patience knows no bounds but I wish members (this is not a go at you) would take a little weight from him by reading the likes of the ESTC and UEFA FAQs so he (and others) don't have to spend so much time on answers that are very much out there and have been repeated again and again.

Likewise with the ESTC staff. They've spent hours and hours creating these helpful FAQ docs only for members to ignore them as it's easier to ask them directly on social media.

Thats a good call Matthew. Ive found this forum , and David, most helpful in trying to help me with some questions.
Ive also spoken to the ESTC staff, and found most of them very knowledgeable and willing to spend time giving advice.
Especially a guy called Richard who I spoke to on Friday about my application and passport questions.
I dont have much experience of applying for England games recently, and a little in the past, though I have been to 3 World Cups, so Im always willing to try and help if i can, if its general questions.
