EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020

70%

i on 18 caps, Aprox 5000 above me, so i would be OK for tickets for Groups, Semi & Final

and in ballot for R16 & 1/4s

• In the event that a match is oversubscribed, a ballot will be conducted in order to fairly allocate tickets.  70% of the ticket allocation for each England game will be offered to the Members with the highest number of caps who registered their interest. The number of caps you will require to qualify for the top 70% of ticket allocation will depend on: (i) the number of Members at the relevant time who have applied for a specified match; and (ii) the size of The FA’s allocation for that game.

70%
Group Stage Wembley 12000 8400
R16 Dublin 5000 3500
Copenhagen 5000 3500
1/4 Italy  7000 4900
Russia 5000 3500
Semi wembley 10500 7350
Final wembley 11000 7700

This assumes, Marc, that every single person on more caps than you applies. I have actually been surprised in the past by how low the percentage is of people applying (even when they have lots of caps). Maybe it's holidays, forgetfulness, etc. I don't know but, as I say, it has always surprised me.

I’m in the situation where I just sneak into the 70% for the smaller grounds but I’m curious about how the categories will work. Will they be dealt with on a game by game basis? Obviously I might have to accept the most expensive tickets in the smaller grounds to be guaranteed one but I wouldn’t want to say that I’d accept the most expensive ones for every game as we’ve got big allocations at Wembley and I would have thought I’d have been in line for the cheaper ones. Confusing, hopefully the comms from the FA over the next week will explain this.

I'll be on 20 caps so roughly in the same boat. Hoping to get lucky for the last 16 game, should be fine for the rest.

Also worth noting many people will have tickets from the first sales round, for example: the wife got us final tickets so she won’t be able to apply. There’s one less person in the ballot.
Loads applied for Rome and Dublin. I actually got successful for Rome so won’t be applying. I don’t want or need duplicates for those cities as our group is sorted so there’s an additional 5/6 of us who won’t enter those ballots.

I think when it comes to tournaments abroad, when it comes to taking the time off, cost etc, people don't do them. As 5 of the 7 games are at Wembley i would expect these to be almost 100% applications this time, minus those who already have tickets plus there will be a small number with prior engagements, but i would expect those games to be much higher than other tournaments.

The R16 and QF are likely to be like other tournaments, or even lower, given we have the other games. How many people are really going to apply for the QF knowing they will need to make travel arrangements at 3 days notice to get from England, or some other place where we don't know yet either if they have been to the R16 game, to Rome, St Petersburg or Baku, and they have to pay several hundred pounds for that ticket alone in December?

Exactly right. Will apply for all Wembley games. Going to Spain with mates to watch other 2 and avoid ballache of last minute travel plans. And costs as 5 games is expensive enough.
