Euro 2016 ticket update

Euro 2016 ticket update

Posted by Team England at 09:38 on Sunday 07 February 2016

We are pleased to announce that we have received the application data for England’s Euro 2016 matches from UEFA and have now completed the ballot.

From the week commencing 8th February, UEFA plan to start taking payments from applicants with successful ticket applications. UEFA have advised that successful applicants will have their credit card charged automatically, therefore we would like to advise fans that they ensure there are sufficient funds in their bank accounts to enable the ticketing transaction to go through.

If you have agreed to accept tickets in categories either side, you should be aware that if you are allocated a ticket in a higher category, the total amount debited from your credit card may increase.

Fans may also wish to inform their respective credit card providers of the anticipated international transaction. UEFA have also confirmed that the following merchant information will appear on your statement - please note that the merchant ID number is different to the one previously advised by UEFA:

UEFA EURO 2016 - Avenue Kleber 112 – 75773 - Paris Cedex 16 – 1260 Merchant ID: 101301204.

Following on from the balloting process we would like to confirm that we have received additional tickets for three of England’s matches at Euro 2016.
• Wales – 136 tickets
• Slovakia – 1442 tickets
• Round of 16 – 494 tickets

Please note: There will not be another sales period for these matches and the application portal remains closed.

If you are allocated tickets to a knock-out match that England do not progress to, UEFA will issue refunds for those tickets, after the tournament has ended.

Further information regarding the ballot breakdown by match will be published in the coming weeks.

I find it hilarious that we are the only country that charge fans money to 'apply' for tickets, regardless of whether they get them or not! Its scandalous.

Given the hype around the cost of Premier League tickets, I am shocked the FA are getting away with it.
